Just heard the board has just extended Lee H for another 3 years !
Lets face it the board are a lifetime lock . Nothing will change ! I predict eventually the NRL will act . They will have an 18 team comp with 2 new teams from other regions .So just do the maths
No way ,,place is under a revue , no way they would do that

I understand people’s concerns that they believe Wests Tigers have now collected two consecutive wooden spoons and believe it has a lot to do with bad decisions made at board level.
The question I have is what difference would it realistically make to our on field results over the next 2-3 years regardless of whether or not the current board stays or goes ?
Obviously like any Wests Tigers supporter if it was a high chance a new board could come in and magically make the club springboard into the top 8, then it would be a no brainer to bring a new board in ASAP.
If we are being realistic the on field results over the next 2-3 seasons will not change regardless of who the board consists of.
It’s hard to imagine we improve much next season, that would not change with a new board or with Bellamy or Bennett coaching, but there is reason to be optimistic results will start to improve dramatically in 2025-2026 and again that will be regardless of who is on the board and who is coaching.

Just get rid of the board then.

Well that’s a bitter sweet set of announcements.

Keeping Lee and his ego is disappointing and means we’ll continue to leak and focus on self preservation. I don’t know why this couldn’t wait until after the review.

Keeping Bula though is great news. Fingers crossed he bucks the trend of long term contracts that backfire.

Maybe it was a condition of Bula re-signing, that Lee retained?

Bula stated he loves the club and not interested in going elsewhere.
Similar comments made by Api when he re-signed.
Interesting comments for our doomsayer fans who believe playing for Wests Tigers is undesirable.

These guys are living the dream. They are getting paid big dollars to train. My 20yo son is training all the time but he pays to train.

As long as they are doing well and getting paid well they are going to be happy. Api has won multi premierships and could easily get a contract elsewhere. He clearly wants to stay.
