Well now they have a gun like Brooks, prob minor premiers next year Earl. The only team I can see catching them is Manly if everything goes perfectly for them.

By round 2 the writing was on the wall. Hopefully next year we can get to at least round 5 before we know it's over.I gave up so early this season. I really hope we aren't out of it so quickly next season.
Stains and Tupou is surely a better option than Nofo and TupouNofo is a liability now … too slow and makes defensive errors…
Just because they are paying him $500k a year… they can’t pick him for that reason only..
Staines is also the backup fullback … I hope he stays…
I think that was said a few times about Sheens taking overSurely it cannot get any worse, so I am willing to give it a go.
I'd say he after 500-600k
Thanks for rationalising my doubts. The way I see it is Fulton is doing what he is asked atm and building a very good young prospect squad which is now down to our coaching to deliver what they asked for and maximize the potential.
Have huge amount of doubts about the ability to execute the strategy however but time will tell.

Chins up guys, things will be better next season. Nothing spectacular of course, but we won’t be coming last that’s for sure.Agreed. You'd like to see some improvement next year and some players coming through and looking like they could be stars. I'm hopeful we can get some excitement from Fainu, Galvin and Sullivan ala Bula this year.
I'd also like to see Benji show some promise as a coach. So some good tactics and bringing kids on and more wins.

Lol well yeah that’s true. Our mob certainly knows how to disappoint! However I just feel that next season we can move forward somewhat from the last two years. I’m not expecting top 8 but I am expecting to move a few places up the ladder (11th or 12th maybe?) with hope for an even better 2025.I'd caution against going into next season expecting to have a good season. It's not good for my mental health and I suggest it's not good for most people's mental health.
Good walk through mate 👍If you have a look at the players currently off contract in 2024 and available to be signed as of November 1 there is not much that would appeal to us.
Two quality young halves in Dearden and Mam, they will be the Qld halves in a couple of years time. I can’t see either of them leaving Qld based clubs at any cost.
Luai who will be 29 by 2025, we would hope Fainu or Galvin are as good as him if not better by that stage.
Joey Manu would be a big fish to catch, but we appear to have already put our eggs in Bula’s basket as our long term fullback, no chance of getting a player like Manu unless he’s guaranteed the number 1 jersey.
Bradman Best is a standout as a centre. He would be a great signing if a miracle happened and he signed with us, I think you will find each of the 17 NRL clubs will be lining up for his signature, so would need to pay 1 million per season to be a chance of getting him ti Wests Tigers. As good as he is, I don’t think he’s worth that much.
Other than these players the only real big names in the forwards are Kalomatangi, Jai Arrow and Saifiti.
Arrow appears to be very arrogant and injury prone, not sure he has the personality we would want late in his career.
Both of the Saifiti brothers are far better than average, not sure they are worth splashing a lot of cash at.
Kalomatangi looks to be the one who really stands out as the type of player that would really be an asset to us moving fiorward.
I say cut Bateman loose ASAP even if we have to chip in half of his contract to allow us to have a serious crack at Kalomatangi.
Failing that Josh Curran could be the cheaper more gettable version.
This lack of quality available should really highlight the importance of keeping our own players who are highly likely to be in the top echelon in their positions by 2025.
Well I’m not sure your point. We’ve signed players in a similar fashion really.not really?
Klokstad, Ford and Luke Metcalf…
That’s three players… two of them in the spine… who have we signed again?
So what have the Tigers offered him?
I’m sure the warriors had a similar level of expectation for Metcalf and Ford. What makes them any different?I’m not expecting them to be great in 2024… there is a chance that the Fainu’s may not see much first grade …
After that ..let’s hope the club has something with at least a couple of them… but we have seen in the past that more than a few of these big name hyped kids don’t go onto much
Broncos fullback is the same age as ours, Broncos 5/8 is 20, younger than Sullivan, 2 years older than Fainu. Broncos half is around same age as Sezer. Our hooker is better. Our spine is veeerry similar to the Broncos. Maybe even a bit better....I'm hopeful some of these kids show the potential to be top tier players next year. When it comes to how the team performs it'll be interesting. Looking at the new rules on the cap it just seems to me we might have more players to choose from but heaps of them will be kids.
Reece Walsh is the best player in the game right now and single handedly winning the Broncos games.Broncos fullback is the same age as ours, Broncos 5/8 is 20, younger than Sullivan, 2 years older than Fainu.
