Possible Liverpool Stadium

Can I just say that living in Bleak City, they have 2 grounds here, MCG and Marvel, to play all the city games( except for Geelong which is 75ks away)
Interesting, and it works.Maybe all this talk about grounds is really not necessary.
We have 3 proper stadiums!in Sydney- Accor, Allianz and Commbank ? Mmmmm…..
Your spot on. Sydney clubs living in the 90s will be left behind as the comp grows to 20 teams

I love Leichhardt and come from the Balmain side of the joint venture, however Campbelltown has the room to build a 30k seat stadium which would benefit the MacArthur region and could bring events like concerts to a growth area of Sydney.
I know we have not seen the support of the venue as much as we would like but success changes that along with decent sides being allocated to the play against us at a suitable time.

It is also on a rail line that is easy to get to if you take public transport whereas the eighth wonder is a nightmare to get to and out of on most occasions.

Liverpool to me would be a shared venue with the Bulldogs and that is no different than the Commbank arrangement we had with Parramatta or even when we used Allianz which is Easts home ground.

I do not believe we lose our identity or favour the Wests side of our joint venture rather base ourselves in an area that will support or growth for the future.

One team with one home is what we all need
Why would it be shared with the dogs... Wed have to invite them... Lee probably would but hopefully he's goone

30K is probably too big even Panthers stadium isn’t that big. I know if they got the upgrade they wanted under the Liberal government it might’ve hit 25K at best but I think 30K is too much.
happy with 25 k stadium , just thought 30 k was a large enough place for growth , I think if we are winning games we could get 15/20 k turnout , again if we are winning , back in 2005 our games were alway had good numbers and even now we get 8/12 k. At games and we are rock bottom

We currently struggle to get 10K at Campbelltown with 20K capacity, don’t think right now it would be smart to build a 30K stadium in an area where we struggle to hit 10K attendance. I think that’s why they are considering Liverpool since it’s technically neutral.
It’s only 10 k cause we are loosing all the time , winning games brings crowds , if we are in the top 8. Cambo would pull 15 k easy I feel

In many senses, this is a great move for our club. The Liverpool to Campbelltown region is absolutely enormous population wise (and young). It will also grow even further with the new airport opening up.

The actual site seems like a weird one to me. While it's not that far from the station, traffic will be absolute bedlam.

Campbelltown offers a bit more as far as access to the stadium goes, another professional sport franchise at the stadium and surrounding infrastructure (sports science at WSU etc) but realistically Liverpool is probably a more compelling location for players to be based out of.

The people talking up Campbelltown … what is the plan to upgrade the ground?

Is this even on the Council‘s agenda?

Last time Cambo hit 15K was 2019 against the Dogs. While winning does attract fans to attend, I think the location/distance is also a factor. LO can still get more than 50% attendance on average and we haven’t played finals in 12 years. Cambo is lucky to even hit 50% lately when we play there. I reckon a lot of people don’t go since it’s very far to travel unless they are locals, or die hards who try to attend every game. It might improve if we can get our act together and I hope it does, but I think distance is a big factor in why attendance is struggling there as well.

Tigers management's geography is absolutely baffling. They built the centre for excellence for some reason. Management then make a big deal about bringing the games back to Leichhardt and Campbelltown after making tigers fans slug it to every field in NSW for the last few years they called home, now looks they are going to abandon both just to build a stadium in Liverpool.

Liverpool is literally the unwiped arsehole of Sydney. Who would want to commute there just to watch the Tigers get wiped by 40 ...

Doesn't make sense.

Just found out that if the Livepool stadium goes ahead, Lee’s main headquarters for Brydens Lawyers is only a 2 minute walk from where the stadium will be built. No wonder why he wants to move the club there, wants to make it easier for himself.

It would still be a few years away anyway. It might not even happen it’s very early stages.

If Barry O’Farrell takes Lee’s role then we’ll be relocating next to Penfolds, so the Grange can be placed in his boot after sunset.

If they properly promoted Campbelltown they would get better results with crowds but for some reason we lag so far behind Souths, in this area it is a joke. Lived in Campbelltown for 30 + years only twice have i ever seen our club promote in the local paper on the local radio and did a massive school blitz.
