What agent? Luai does not have one. Yet. However until the new laws come in perhaps there is a loophole which we all know is that management can speak arrange a deal but canāt sign the dotted line. No idea how that works if youāre managing yourself. You do realise that it can't be done, right? We can't have even formerly offered anyone under contract with a contract offer for 2025 yet. We can only start formalities in November, so at best a player may have agreed to our offered terms, but there's still a month for them to change their mind before anything is actually 'done'.
Some people suggesting it's Luai is extremely hard to believe too. He's literally just won a grand final last week and is on holidays with his mates. There's not a chance in the world that he's been speaking to his agent about contracts for 2025 during a time like this. He'd be celebrating with his mates now and have been fully focused on winning the GF over the past few months
Doesnāt that sound a lot like the Warriors? To counterbalance the Luai argument- as a club, do you sign Jayden Sullivan & Latu Fainu for 4 YEARS, only to sign Luai BEFORE Sullivan & Fainu touch the field for the club?
Forgetting to even mention that Galvin is at the club too.
I GET the player- Luai is quality.
But, seems like poor roster management.
Suaali'i or Koloamatangi makes more sense, roster-wise.
I loved Curly in the 3 Stooges but seriously Moe and Larry wouldn't be happy with this Clayton's Information. Why not wait until after 1 November if the so called Scoop is genuine? Just plain old spreading of unsubstantiated information. The desperation from Tiger supporters is bordering on farcical but I guess back to back Spoons and 12 years of no finals may be responsible for the rumour mill going into overdrive. You do realise that it can't be done, right? Reserve Grade is the only place he belongs and then I think he will be lucky to make their reserves Bench. Make him uncomfortable and he will look for a contract in England.Which is exactly what would happen if you threaten to park him in reserve grade for two years.
Under the new salary cap guidelines ā¦Reserve Grade is the only place he belongs and then I think he will be lucky to make their reserves Bench. Make him uncomfortable and he will look for a contract in England.
Below? So down to Ron Massey cup?Under the new salary cap guidelines ā¦
Top 30 players can seek a release from their contract if dropped below State Cup level.
It does happen from time to time.Below? So down to Ron Massey cup?
Not sure weāve ever dropped a top 30 player to that level.
Also when do the new guidelines take effect?
Players can always seek a release regardless of their circumstances.Under the new salary cap guidelines ā¦

What happen there did JAC smash someone or did he get smashed? Why, are we planning to bring back the biff next season š¤£
A few weeks back, I think it was Sunday footy show Chammas said something like he thought Tigers would go to 1.4 mill to get Luai and that would probably get it done. I think your mate might just be repeating that
And people question the need of fulton. It does happen from time to time.
William Kei was in our Top 30 last year and played Ron Massey Cup.
Weāre nearly 10,000 pages in, much of which has run on far less substance than this āhighest paid player in the leagueā rumour šThis forum never stops to amaze me,
Someone can post about a scoop from a mate with so called āgood informationā and we can carry the conversation on for how many pages ?
