Fact.The last generation to see a successful Magpies era are dead.
The West's leagues clubs don't have a rugby league members base just gamblers. That's why our large supporter base is black and gold.
Fact.More than any other bottom eight team and similar to a successful team WT are allotted free to air games. Do you think the bosses of Big TV networks get their numbers wrong and just like giving airtime to wooden spooners...Moron.
We are 1of only 4 clubs in the last 5 years to continually post profits...Moron.
Fact. An Elite membership costs $2500 per year for an adult. $1000 for the platinum package. How many of those end up in Leumeah, Ingleburn or Crown...Moron

So, the black & golds are making money.........more power to them.

We from the b & w brigade are too. We have 3 houses, 2 in Concord and 1 in Burwood, now yeah they shouldn't be overpriced like this, I certainly like to give people a go.

But we can certainly afford membership.......even a sponsorship. 😎

I am a member of Wests Ashfield and your correct, it also backs up my point regarding the large number of Wests Ashfeild patrons who are not rugby league members. Wests run both their clubs very well, unlike the embarrassment that was Balmain Leagues. Wests also have business interests and holdings that they fund. But the revenue created by sponsorship is massive, then the merchandising, then memberships 100% of that goes to the Tigers. Not to mention the 1 million per year from Brydens, I don't much about Lee but 1million per year talks, he is a hunters hill boy and Balmain to the core, before him Harry Triguboff Meriton Apartments Balmain to the core, he has funded this club well into the millions. A Billionaire. That would be a lot to lose, if they walk away from Leichhardt

Listen to Richo on the James Graham podcast. Footy clubs get the lion’s share of their money from TV dollars via the NRL grant. In his words you’d have to be a moron to operate at a loss.

I couldn't agree more, and the junior system out there is worth the hike. The original point was that shifting permanently away from Leichhardt would cost us a lot more than the ground takings at Leichhardt

Correct, the TV rights deal take into account the reach of every club, and when Fox sells CH9 2 games a week they look carefully at that data, and WT being the most unsuccessful club in the last ten years, gets way more free games because of their fan base. Leichhardt Oval is the last connection WT have to Balmain(no Balmain LC), if we cut that tie, it effectively cuts that fan base.

if they don’t start winning games soon,., it wont matter where they play… people will tune out and continue to avoid going to games
