Correct. We’re 1 year into a 5 year plan, and because we’re ahead of schedule we have possibly 3 to 4 years left. It’s possible we may get further ahead of schedule and look to start another plan in 18 months?

Jason Taylor, yes he may have had decisions over-ruled. The one that stands out is Marty Taupau, he wanted to fire Farah so that he could keep Marty. Then he just wanted to Fire Farah, This was allowed.

Ivan Cleary, Near full run of the entire show. Great coach, who did not make the right signing decisions. Was too free with the money when he should have been tighter. Big 17 lead to a lot of Fringe graders.

Madge, Given reasonable range. Sheens said no to some things. Trained the players hard and we went from 9th to 12-16. Picked BJ Leulia + James Roberts to be our centers. Then argued with BJ (no idea who is right there). Picked Hastings (right decision) and British young gun (wrong decision). ... Got us Paps and Api.

Sheens, given full freedom.


Our coaches have a stack more freedom then most. The problem is not the board's involvement, it's the LACK OF INVOLVEMENT. Truth be told we have improved in that area, when Sheens was on his last contract it was a "oops, oh yea we should re-sign a coach." Then fired the next year.

Now, front of house is right but Football field side is not OK>

"Full freedom"for Sheens includes having the Chair and CEO sign a new recruitment manager with ZERO consultation??

The Chairman of THE BOARD is evidently TOO INVOLVED in football department decisions beyond his intellectual pay-grade and expertise - rather than leaving them to the people they EMPLOYED TO DO SO!!

Why is the review into ongoing failures in football operations being undertaken by two financial specialists??

Throwing money at consultants to tick a corporate governance box.

I like to respect all comments, but when people crap on greats of our club like Robbie Farah & Benny Elias they clearly dont understand what makes a club great. I myself have been have critical of the fools running this club, but could never fault a player who tries their heart out & who has bled for this club. Roosterball, with your views, need to support a club who rorts the system, who has bought every premiership they have ever got, & has no loyalty to their own if something better comes along they can buy(just ask Mitchell Pearce). Clearly you belong in Rorter town, with your lack of integrity & willingness to slag players who give their all you will fit in well.

He’s not faulting a player - he’s faulting an ex-player who’s decided he’s a football manager / coach.
And didn’t mention his playing ability, or on field commitment…

To be fair, if you look at this years results, with the improvements made to the team - it’s understandable why you’re trying to change the narrative of your defence.

Ben Te’o tried his heart out and bled for the club at some point also - he didn’t get a life long free ride

Right on!

Benny Elias is a Tigers great and so is Robbie Farah.
They are the people your club is made from, like Tommy Raudonikis.
You can disagree with them, you don't have to agree with their plans.

But you have to respect players who bleed for our club. Robbie and Benny bleed Orange and Black.
I am over people crapping on greats of our club.

Your looking at the negatives, not the positives.

Furner was assistant coach to Paul Green at the Cowboys when they got the premiership.

The negatives, Whatever Sheens was doing wasn't working and whatever skills Furner had were not able to help our side.

If Furner sucked, how come Furner + Green gets them their first finals. If Furner rocked, how come he did not rock our team? He had the forward pack to seriously make an impact.

How come UFC haven't signed Furner vs Farah to go a few rounds in the cage!

2023, we did not have a last paced team. We came last. I don't see any changes that will make a difference in 2024

No Brooks. Him not playing like a busted in every game is the biggest difference/positive the club needed. The number 7 jersey stapled on a witches hat sitting on the halfway point adds more value than what Brooks brought to the team. Tigers look significantly better with no Brooks bagage in the 2024 squad.
