It's not what Jennings may have on Politis, but far more likely and far more depressing is that Nick and other senior club officials still think of Jennings as a 'good bloke who made a simple mistake' and 'someone who still deserves a second chance'.Michael Jennings on train and trial at the Roosters. He’d have been a walk up starter here.
The NRL owes him nothing after his most recent actions, and the optics on this whole situation are poor enough that even from a business standpoint, it doesn't make sense to sign him. Let alone for a club that boasts about culture.
Can't even justify the signing as an 'older player to mentor the younger players' because he is such a shit bloke that you wouldn't even want him mentoring yourself.
Depressing as a rugby league fan in general to see they're still allowing dug bust players to return NRL.
I wouldn't want him at my club potentially mentoring our younger juniors...
