I would be up for it and I think AFB actually would lift our side a little.

Would Bateman be willing to go? I think he is showing the right attitude but wrong performance.

Papalii hasn't performed, yet I could see him, Stef and AFB making a killer front row team. Which is what we want.

We talk about the Media giving us a rough time but us fans give just as much sometimes.

IMO the club is turning in the right direction and going after Luai, but they cannot win.. They get him and they "overpaid" etc.. / They miss him "They are a rubble, and no one wants to go there".

Yet Media keep saying we need that top line player and he fits the bill but not the narrative.

1 to 1.2mil for a Halves player that has won 3 Premierships, Played SOO and just at the age of going into his prime is a very good price with the Cap increasing. We clearly have lacked top line halves and just like the Broncos doesn't matter how good the others are you must have good halves to complete.

I don't think we will get him (hope we do) but at least we are trying and have some better halves this year if this fails.

We might finally land a big fish with this one jonesy

In theory tigers gave up Hastings to get Klemmer , now 12 months later Klemmer is expendable ? Surely the ‘grand plan’ is once again confused

With your eyes open , Hal ?? Because luai was fantastic on the field mate. You may not like his personality off of it , but he is an origin playing 5/8 in a team that has played the last 4 grand finals and won 3 of those so he cannnot be too bad.. you can claim it’s all Cleary if you need to but if he was no good then I’m sure they would put another player next to Nathan .. please do not let your own “feelings” guide your judgement about Jaromes actual football ability .. he is a gun, whether you like it or not

Klemmer is managed by Isaac Moses who's known to be a liar and a grub and he doesn't like us. Wouldn't surprise me if Moses has planted this story and it's made up

Is it ? Who else would be on that money ? Moses, DCE, Ben Hunt, Ponga, Fifita, Hass, Munster, Clearly etc.

Sadly Earl, a lot of people on this forum allow their personal biases to run rampant over their actual footy judgement.. it is so blatantly obvious that I don’t even want to go into it .. I think we are good with Latu, Bud, Sezer and even Lachlan before too long as well as Matai and some of the juniors coming through, I don’t think we need Luai , long term but not because he isn’t one hell of a good footy player with a record par excellence…. Some of the convoluted reasons some posters come up with to denigrate luais accomplishments are beyond absurd ..

So you saying the Storm will pay him out three years ?

You fundamentally don't understand what I'm saying.

A release does not mean you pay the player the full value of the contract.

Both parties can agree to terminate the contract. When players want to leave within a contract term, they must be granted a release.

Then they are free to sign whatever contract they like. It doesn't need to be for the same terms as the previous one.

This isn’t ’team building’ it’s ‘team destroying’. Good players that wanted to be here have been moved on because of ‘poor’ management decisions. Can only hope our over paid winger gets to the top of the list eventually
