Another thing about this stupid T20 series is the itinerary
Game 2 in Kerala about as far south in India as you can go !
2 days later Game 3 in Guhawati Assam ? Way way north near Bhutan ?
During my last 15 years of my working career I had to visit India about 6 times per year and I can assure you that flying to remote places was NOT FUN
Travelling Mumbai -Delhi - Gujarat - Nagpur - Hyderabad - Pune - Chennai ok but not the remote ones .I did all this 1990-2006 and imagine airtravel much better these days

A four test series eh?

That's a bright idea 🤔
Yep 3 or 5.
They’re just trying to get another pommy game in for the cash 💰. So to make it a five test summer we’ll play an extra kiwi test, cheap and easy.
When you cloud your vision with cash everything becomes clear.

Maxxi gets a reward for winning us a game again
He can fly home today
Behrendorf 1-12 outstanding also .Wade batted well as did Head
But Stoinis looks out of touch and Hardie looks out of his depth

So the team who won the
  1. World Test Championship - the best Test playing nation over the past 2 years
  2. Retained the Ashes on foreign soil - playing in front of very vocal and hostile crowds
  3. Won the Limited Overs World Cup
Has not been recognised as having achieved the best results this past year in Australian sport….losing out to the Matilda’s! - a team of flat trackers who got their arses handed to them in the womens soccer World Cup and beat some minnows along the way.
Crazy how that squad gets such a free ride.

We didn’t go to well last night, we let them get 15 to many and their reserve grade spin bowlers are better than ours and their batsmen play spin better than ours and that is where we lost it. Also thought Wade missed an opportunity as Captain but the damage was well and truly done by then anyway. Lucky this series is for the future team development and nothing else.

One thing the 4th T20 in India shows is that our "fringe players " are not up to it at the moment eg Phillipe , Hardie ,McDermott ,and Short .Tim David is a bit hit and miss but keeps his spot . Head is class and Wade is a proven performer as is Behrendorf .
If we want to win the T20 world cup in 2024 we will need most of our champion ODI squad to back up and put a team on the park similar to the one who won the T20 world cup in Dubai a couple of years ago

India’s reserve grade is better than ours.

International T20 really doesn’t matter.
It’s not proper cricket, it’s not taken seriously by players, it is used solely to bring money into the coffers of nations so that they can run Test and One Day series each year.
Whatever it takes to keep the game alive. I am a test fanatic, then ODI, and T20, I love em all.
The shorter game is easier to get kids and newbies in, most can’t handle 5 days and a draw, but you can teach someone the basics with T20, then progress to ODI then Tests.
Anyway T20 is becoming more and more popular so it’s here to stay.

You are correct .Like it or not T20 is staying . This game called " who can hit the most boundaries in 120 balls " was invented to appeal to non cricket lovers which makes the marketplace much bigger
Not my cup of tea but if its Aust vs Other country I still follow but can't get too excited about BBL as what do the teams represent ? Teams are made up with players from any state and country .Love test cricket and ODI cricket where defence and attack are both important

Lance Morris hey. I’ll be interested to see if he actually gets a crack. Doesn’t have the greatest figures but they reckon he’s pretty quick. He’s obviously one of the next in line.
Surprised he got picked over Nesser and Richardson or are they injured, I can’t remember?
Looking at Stats Nesser is a genuine all-rounder
Key game day pick will be Marsh or Green as the No 6 all-rounder

Exactly.
But you must get the kids and newbies in or die. T20 is the gateway drug. Getting them in with a little hit and giggle, and then hopefully progress to playing and watching the proper game too.
