Depends what Storm end up willing to contribute to land Blore this season. If we can secure Olam for $350-400k pa for 2 years (mutual option for 3rd) out of our cap, that would be ok.

True that, but as the salary cap keeps going up it will prob be a norm for the best 2nd rowers in the comp to be on $900k + IMO, Ice will seem like a steal if he was back to his best

before I cop it, yes I said something about Haumole. I was told by someone close to WT that he was intrigued by the prospect of joining us given his relationships with the Fainu boys and Scott Fulton and that would we would offer a competitive contract for him to join for 2026.

competitive implies market rate with a reasonable amount of years, not $1 million a year for 8 years until he is 34. credit to Haumole and Tartak for getting Manly to go that high. that is an insane deal that may well end up being salary cap suicide with Schuster, DCE and the Trbojevic’s all there on good money.

Chris Lawrence is another. He had a respectable career but the trajectory he was on prior to his hip dislocation was something else. He would have earned substantially more without the major injuries.

His contract is a 3 year deal, he is 30 years old and already showing signs of decline. I don't think it would be a good signing.

Have to admit manly have got good value from DCE long contract, rarely has a long term injury, has played a lot of games for his club

Been on $1.1m since 2016 and has steered them to Semis only 3 years. Is that really good value?
