You don't understand the dynamics of sliding or up-and-in defence!
If coming up and in off your line - you cannot run between your opposite and the inside attacker as if going for an intercept.
You have to get to the centre to prevent the pass...
His timing and technique are consistently appalling - and not in sync with his defensive line who tend to be sliding meaning he needs to keep his width and mark his opposite winger.

Thank you for the explanation. It's amazing what watching games will teach you.
If you could, however, explain how he has constantly gone against the coaches explicit gameplan that you have so accurately detailed, but rarely been removed from his position in the side, it might help me with all my other problems.
If you could also explain how this is solely a Nofa issue, therefore making him the worst defensive winger in the NRL, that'd be great.
