No it’s based on the statement that Wests Ashfield or HBG retain hire and fire rights to the board. The board will not have the opportunity to change funding or something else significant. All the control still comes from HBG.

There’s some bloke named Gilbert who will be the HBG rep . And 3 brand new independant board members to be nominated in the coming months .
Who stuck around ? Stapleton ? Hes on most of the committees , and is the conduit between the board and football department . It was smart to keep him .

Also, Bryan Fletcher isn’t the CEO of the club but the Panthers Group. Matt Cameron is the one selling the Panthers to Luai. From Fletchers comments he appears to be more in a take it or leave it position and so I guess the backhanded comments make sence.

They’re not on the board anymore , lol . They will operate like any other owner of any club . Sign off key decisions , or not , but completely removed from the processes that lead to those decisions and influencing them .
That’s the point of the change . To create that separation .

Interesting in their about spill. There is absolutely no mention of Wests Tigers. Only further below they are a major sponsor. Almost as if the ownership of the club is a side gig.
Look it’s hard to see the genuine intentions of the HBG board. I hope it is to ensure that the West Tigers club is operated at arms length by a well qualified board to ensure the football team has the best chance of success

No its not grey at all. The HBG met and dismissed the WT Board. Completely Black and White. Would be in the minutes. The WT Board did not meet.


The WT Board members did not dismiss themselves, the HBG Board dismissed the WT Board. Im aware they share members but you clearly dont understand Corporate Governance. Its an important distinction.

And the issue , isn’t are these people good at running a business , because wests Ashfield is going gang busters and all the subsidiaries . It’s can they run a football club.
