Richo doesn't take long to see problems and sort them out. The other bloke would have let it fester for a few years.
Latu and Samuela Fainu both signed with us for 4 years didn’t they ?
That being the case, they can’t go anywhere unless we let them go.
If they play well and become regular starters, I don’t think they would be interested in going elsewhere.
If they don’t play well and don’t live up to expectation it could be a different story.
Likewise with Talyn and Kit, if they progress as well as expected and become valued members of the top 17 or there abouts, I’m sure they will be keen to stay.
If they don’t develop as well as expected, they might consider other options.
The good part is the Wests Tigers are in control of their own destiny and before a ball has even been kicked in the 2024 season, we have already changed into a club that is a much more desired destination.
Initially I wasn’t a huge fan on signing Luai for the money we are paying him, but upon reflection it is a signing that commands the club respect.

I’ve been neither here nor there regarding Fulton, but the club definitely needs some outsiders who have no connection to the boys club. I’m just waiting for Beau Ryan to come aboard. You know it’s going to happen.
I like that there's no media statement from the club (so far)...

The majority of Footy fans know who our recruitment manager is,
I could (at best) Name 3-4 of them at any time in my history of following the game...
They're just back room footy staff, Not relevant to the general population enough to write about.
Dunno how many other clubs would issue press releases for dismissing recruiters....

Richo has always said he is a CEO that backs the coach to pick his team, his staff and gets out of his way.
In a sense, it's quite smart, because if he fails, there are no excuses. I see it as full accountability for Benji. He can't lay the blame on anyone or anything if things go pear shaped.
The board should never have been involved in making football department hires without the coaches sign off. This whole thing was just unnecessary drama due to the unprofessional nature of our board and led by our ex-chairman.
Glad Richo is drawing a line in the sand on all the nonsense and driving a standard at the club. I'm guessing that plenty more heads will roll that won't make the papers.
It's funny though.
Scott Fulton, had.. what I and many would consider, a dream job.
Still had to get his ego involved and run his mouth.

I hate feeling this way about one of our clubs juniors that is a pretty good player at his best. The best thing would be for Nofo to pull his head in and work hard on his flaws and attributes and become the best player he can be, which is just below origin level. That we get a little back on our Le Nofo Investment, and then for his next contract he takes min from us or moves on to another NRL club, instead of playing out his contract here in angst and in reverse grade and then captain coach of the Campbelltown Condoms.
This Fulton thing has been handled poorly from the start; it doesn’t surprise that Bagypants and Fruit Pascals were the ones doing the handling. They could have at least made a phone call to Benji, the coach who was gunna take over during Fultons tenure, then you have consulted the coaching team. How did the fact that the coaching team wasn’t consulted get leaked anyway? Lee I reckon, big noting himself to someone, “look at me hiring people and I don’t have to consult with anyone!” and Fruit Pascals going “yes Lee, you know it!”

Never understood why people think managers and stuff would make players turn off a club .. it’s a business, I’m sure if they were good mates off the field they can hang out or something
