Tartak Managed Benji for years if I'm not mistaken....
Fultons relationship with him would be no better than Benji's
- Especially now Benji is a Coach.

I think it's a bit of a mistake having the boys club in charge of absolutely everything
(No accountability in that) - But that seems to be the way we're going...

Every club is a boys club though . Everyone said the same when Walter’s got the gig at the broncos . That seemed to be a good result there .

I'm sure the Fainu brothers are inconsolable with Fulton's sacking. C'mon, really. They'd be more concerned with playing good footy and their own families rather than the WTs recruitment managers future.

You would hope so, but if that's not the case, show them the door too before they become a cancer inside the club.

BUZZ BIAS WARNING

Wests Tigers have sacked highly regarded recruitment boss Scott Fulton.

Fulton received a phone call from the club’s chief executive Shane Richardson on Tuesday morning to say his services were no longer required.

Fulton was a controversial appointment by previous management because both former head coach Tim Sheens and new coach Benji Marshall were kept in the dark over his recruitment to the club.

His relationship with Marshall has been strained for several months.

Fulton, however, is a huge loss for the Tigers.

He has a tremendous contact network with player managers and has delivered the highly rated Fainu brothers, Latu and Samuela, from Manly and Jayden Sullivan from St George Illawarra for 2024 season.

The club also signed Panthers superstar Jarome Luai on a five-year deal, $6 million deal from 2025, because the Penrith playmaker had confidence in the roster rebuild that Fulton was overseeing.

He previously played a key role in building the Sea Eagles roster by securing the likes of Haumole Olakau’atu and speedsters Tolutau Koula and Jason Saab to the club.

Fulton declined to comment when contacted by this masthead.

Fulton knocked back offers from two other NRL clubs to join the Wests Tigers because he was excited about the future of the club and the nursery in Campbelltown.

Very presumptuous to suggest this may be a problem with the players or even Tartak. I for one have never heard of a player leaving due to a recruitment staff member being moved on. Who is to say that Tartak won't get along with whoever takes over that role next. He may find it harder to push other players onto our club, but as for Fainu's, Sullivan, Kit etc, their deals have already been negotiated and signed.

As long as the players are looked after on and off the field i'm sure the player manager and the players won't have any issues.

My guess is one of Bud or Latu will fall behind in the pecking order after 24 season is over..Tartak will get into their ear and advise there are better opportunities elsewhere to be a starting 6...and at $500k pa for either of them and Galvin coming thru,thats not exactly the worst outcome for WTS!!

Definitely a bold move as Fulton is VERY close with Mario Tartak...and Tartak has almost all of our young guys on his books (TDS, Fainu bros, Feledy, Kitt, etc)

They're under contract. They don't go anywhere unless we opt to let them go.

If Peters opens his overly large cake trap, I'd expect Richo would happily fill it! I don't think Peters will take on one of the best administrators in the sport.

Stuff him. Go to bed with anyone from manly and you risk becoming the bears. Their whole club is scum and we are/were too deep with Tartak. Only embarrassing because it shows how quickly we've had to unwind previous ineptitude, but no other evidence of whether it is a good or bad call yet.
