If it is a swap of Olam/Blore there won't be a cooling off period. Both teams will just waive it and get the player to their club asap. I reckon we get confirmation by the end of today and he starts training with us next week.

He came down from QLD, Was in RM Cup - Blitzed that,
Made his way into Ressies Late 2022, Had a good showing there
- Then went to the WC and turned plenty of heads....
Then Training FT Preseason 22/23 and did his ACL.
He's not there, down to timing is all
- He was a bit of a slow start then a bit of a rapid rise as the season went on
into WC then Injury...

I don't think he's as quick as they're saying, But he's not slow...
He's big, Strong and he has a real instinct for the game.
He's Raw - But he'd have been in my top 30 coming into last year, And I'd probably even have him there now over a few others that I see as making up the numbers.
He could be anything....
100% Worth putting some time and miles into....
Unless he comes back a total busted, I would bet by mid season he's making a few more waves toward top 30.
- Or signing for someone else.

If he sticks on the path he was on, He won't be in ressies for long - I was chuffed we still had him, I'd have thought we'd let him walk or be poached by now for sure.

Jaycar I don't know the exact story, but Gary Johnston the founder was a Magpies man. His wife however is a mad Bulldogs supporter.

Laundy claimed to be a Tigers supporter but as far as I can tell his main link was a friendship with Tim Sheens. Recent comments from Laundy he calls himself a Bulldogs supporter. His son is 100% a Bulldogs supporter.

In those respects I don't believe Laundy ever sponsored Wests Tigers. I believe Jaycar was mostly a low-tier sponsor of Maggies.

Meriton's sponsorship had nothing to do with the Leagues Club site. Harry always said he only sponsored the Tigers if they couldn't find another sponsor; he wasn't interested in advertising his company through NRL - said this in public. But he still gives the Tigers financial support year-on-year.

Damn, so Harry just financially pulled out. I remember him promising to help out if we ever need it maybe he offers 3rd party agreements.

It can’t have been a coincidence that the two names they chose were Will and Richard. Do they have a sister named Virginia by any chance?
