As you said ..winning games would increase home crowds ( and memberships) ..

That should be their primary motivation …. Not making an extra $100-200k by selling home games to the opposition clubs

I don't agree with taking the home game there but it would be much sweeter than $100-$200k for the club.

Jesus Christ that is grim news. Mason is truly an awful player.

Shocking contact in defence, poor positions, terrible hands and woeful under the high ball. Got an average running game at best and can’t pass.

What are we doing wasting a spot on him.

If you look at stats,
Then Latu's stats show up pretty badly in friday nights game playing in a winning team of 36 to nil.

But then look at Luai's effort in A team winning by over 60 points, and his stats look a lot similar to Latu's, and they only kicked 5 from 13 shots so the score could have been closer to 80, so to me Luai's effort was bad for a half in a walkover like that.

I’d be pretty confident Sukkar is another but no confirmation. Don’t know what contracts Taupau-Moors & Godinet are upgraded to next season either (ideally Development).

Neither had top 30 contracts as part of their original contracts. Neither have impressed enough nor are remotely close to top 30 and hopefully haven't been upgraded

I think both were on dev contracts next year

If they love him like they say they do, then hopefully they start playing for him.
Otherwise he's a goner. The players sure played like they hated Benji this season.

Having players linking they're contracts to the coach with the best odds of being sacked is not a good thing.

He isnt signing with the nrl side any time soon.

Of course he won't be. He won't even train with the NRL squad. Ron Massey os where he would start, you don't announce those signings, then the media will find out and release a story on it

That's funny because I've seen a few young content creators talking about how old fashioned and cringe the Bulldogs social media is.
Terrell had a young bloke on his podcast that said the Bulldogs content is created by an old lady who has no idea what she's doing.
Maybe it's the age of the average poster on this forum that doesn't relate to the new content.

Most NRL fans are in the 30-55 age bracket.
Sure there are young fans too but they're not the majority.

Our membership numbers will absolutely plummet next year. Our attendances will drop. We're going to lose a lot of money. And we didn't have much to begin with. So we need (and will take) all the cash we can get

Both will be good first graders.

Sukkar is a beast.

Sukkar is a fringe first grader for the worst team in the comp. Mason could be a decent utility in a few years time, but we won't be able to develop him into a first grader and we have no need for him as a utility either .

He’s a shit 9 too plus we’ve got 3 backup players that are better than him there.

Signing Mason means we may have only one spot left, with Sukkar still unsigned- means no spot for Schiller. (Based on the assumption that both CTM and Godinet are top 30 in 2027).

I'm told Heath Mason is a product of a disjointed Wests Tigers pathways system.

With no consistent fundamentals or club-wide style of play, he arrived in first grade underprepared, and the coaches had to spend time fixing problems that should never have reached the NRL. He's a talented kid and there's still a place for him at the club. He just needs some work.

I think weve got 26/30 currently, without CTM and Godinet there and we'd keep 1 at least space open for during the year. I think CTM has a 30, not sure on Godinet.

Surely we're positioning a nsw cup contract for mason. Sukkar should get the top 30 if any.
