He's just a self promoting wanker who did the same thing Moses - Matterson - Aloiai have done forcing a release to a pre-determined club (but he even tried to keep it secret as his management had not formally sought a release or permission to negotiate so it was a blatant contractual breach)!

His management only approached the club for a release AFTER the Manly deal was done & exposed!

He set the trend for that sort of treacherous crap - laying the groundwork and a precedent for the likes of Matterson etc to follow...

Id prefer a lock that can play structure as a ball player. Bateman plays too off the cuff and gives no guidance or shape in the middle. Leaves a big gap on the edge also. Who fills that?

Samuela doesn't even play on Jhonne's edge.
Think it's more bullshit. Too many options at 13
for him to be wasted in the middle 2. Any1 that
watched England play knows what he offers.
Might be a case of players training in 2 roles.
Don't even think he's back 2 full contact yet too.

this photo has me curious. looks to me like a right edge of Papali'i, Galvin, To'a and Staines. now I'm not locking in anything and we're still a long way away, but right edge is obviously where Bateman has always played. we might find out more in the next few weeks.

I can see a world where Galvin is our five eight outside of Sezer into Luai and Latu is our utility at 14.
If your good enough your old enough.

If anything, it’s good to see Benji giving Galvin time to learn the right side of the field to benefit from his right foot kicking game.

Agree, I think you may have pre season fever JRT!
Let’s discuss again the week before our first game( coz training photos and the trials won’t really reveal anything).
