Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Set plays went out in the early 2000’s when players started to learn how to run proper lines and vary their shape. You won’t see many sides with set plays, eyes up footy is the coaching philosophy. Momentum is the key to creating space.
Not talking about set plays, more double block plays. People in motion with passes going behind players more often. Don’t see anything like that at training. Parra, Melbourne, broncos they all do it not us. We are to predictable we just pass the ball out quick and get numbered out. Then nothing. Why are all the other clubs getting over laps? Because they run ‘plays’ that have players going inside and out forcing players to make an incorrect decision.

Got this from a very reliable source, tigers made a play for. Bostock but the dolphins said no , they think he will be a winger this year
Shouldn’t be too hard to sell, simply make Bostock aware of the big money deal Tupou has signed, meaning no room in Dolphins 2-5 for him in 2025.
Much more chance of him getting a starting position at Wests Tigers.

He has the skill, just not the body size yet. That’s why I am pushing for him to come in as a centre to start his career. Teams are locking up top junior players by giving them a top 30 slot, happens all over the comp. Hence why miller is there as well, he’s got to cut a lot of weight and muscle up before he’s playing first grade.
Miller has not been running with the likely starting line up, Galvin has.

Think Tupou is gonna play Centre otherwise Dolphins have overpaid to play him on the wing. I see him and Farnworth as their Centres, Bostock and Issako on their wing and Hamiso is fullback.

Miller has been training with the first grade side he is top 30 like Galvin. But won’t be in the first grade side for a while, and I don’t see Galvin for a bit either. Bloke hasn’t even played in Cup. He at least needs some time there before getting the call up.
Galvin has been training with the 1sts team at centre . Miller has not been anywhere near the 1st team from reports

I can see Galvin beating the usual suspects to that 4 jersey. They’re just too inconsistent as a group . It’s prime for a bolter . Or the new kid from east’s tigers .
I can see the rugby convert on a wing as well .
They fast tracked TDS to first grade.
He only played a couple cup games before getting the call up.

Could see Galvin starting the year in cup and perhaps an early call up as well, at some point.

For mine, I like Lobb.... getting up at 430am to drive 2 hours to training. Lot of effort.

Its good to have decent options for once.

There was a picture of Klem tacking him the other day in the in goal. Friendly smiles of course but he’s been training with them in some capacity. Given he’s top 30 they do train together.

I think Averillo is a starter...

Could see Bostock or Isaako being pushed out.
Herbie could play #1 also, I think he's an elite centre though.
For 24 he is, although 25 might be a bit of a challenge unless a pre season injury occurs to one of their players. Unless Bostock misses Sydney and NSW, Isssko could be one on the outer. But then again Averillo could do the same and want to come back.
