I think that‘s how it will play outAnd Issako could be on the other wing.
Anyway, why do we care what the Dolphins are doing?

Just got brought up due to @bptiger 0 post saying that he heard we wanted Bostock but they said no. Guessing it was for Tupou early.I think that‘s how it will play out

Could see Bostock or Isaako being pushed out.
Herbie could play #1 also, I think he's an elite centre though.
Mate not to be condescending , but have you ever played footy with a large squad ? At some point you break off into backs and forwards, etc . And then eventually into 1sts and and seconds, thirds etc. There was a picture of Klem tacking him the other day in the in goal. Friendly smiles of course but he’s been training with them in some capacity. Given he’s top 30 they do train together.
Bula is also 21. Galvin is 18.Mate not to be condescending , but have you ever played footy with a large squad ? At some point you break off into backs and forwards, etc . And then eventually into 1sts and and seconds, thirds etc.
This is what people are talking about . Galvin has been breaking off with the 1sts team lately .
It might be nothing . But with all the talk around this kid , it wouldn’t be a stupid idea to bet on him bolting into round 1.
Bula had to wait until a few rounds in last year . But it was same talk around him . And he only had to wait because he didn’t have a top 30 spot yet . The story came out Benji wanted him for round 1 , but they couldn’t make it happen .
If Galvin is in the team straight away (unless we have absolutely no choice) we’re screwed. Even if he’s training the house down, he’s never played against men before only boys at best. Kid needs to play Cup for a bit before getting the call up. However back on Miller, I don’t see him in the squad straight away, but given he’s top 30 at some point during the training session he’s gonna be training with the other top 30 as well even if it is just for an hour or so. All the top 30 train together especially during the pre season. It’ll break down as the season moves on and he’ll most likely be training a lot with the Flegg and Cup squads, but there will be times he’ll be training with the 30. The picture I mentioned is proof of that.Mate not to be condescending , but have you ever played footy with a large squad ? At some point you break off into backs and forwards, etc . Plenty of young players have gone straight into 1st Grade without previously playing against men.If Galvin is in the team straight away (unless we have absolutely no choice) we’re screwed. Block plays are also going out of fashion because defenses are wise to them now. As I said you need momentum. Best example of this is the Payne Haas destroyer (draws in 3 defenders ) run off the back of a Carrigan run then simply shift it to Walsh (block play if you like). Good luck stopping it. No set plays required. Penrith use their outside backs with hit ups to create momentum, the key is a. getting it and b. Having players who can execute when you have it.Not talking about set plays, more double block plays. People in motion with passes going behind players more often. Don’t see anything like that at training. Parra, Melbourne, broncos they all do it not us. We are to predictable we just pass the ball out quick and get numbered out. Then nothing. Why are all the other clubs getting over laps? Because they run ‘plays’ that have players going inside and out forcing players to make an incorrect decision.
Not many 18 year olds come in now and absolutely kill it. Some do better then others, but the game has changed a lot from the if you’re good enough you’re old enough. Back then it was possible, I don’t see it nowadays. If Galvin somehow does do it, he’ll be the first in a long time.Plenty of young players have gone straight into 1st Grade without previously playing against men.
The old saying if you’re good enough, you’re old enough.
I’m sure Benji hasn’t made up his mind over quite a few top 17 positions for Round 2, but the point myself and quite a few others are making is there has been numerous reports that Galvin is breaking off and training exclusively with what looks the preferred top17 at training, that is generally a heads up that he’s being rated higher than quite a few others also in our top 30 at this stage.
That can change, I’m sure the trial games will answer quite a few questions.
Probably also because with Tupou going there they now have a bit of a stockpile of outside backs which is where we lack depthI think that‘s how it will play out

Ok bro …. I’ll just run off the facts . You don’t have any idea whether Galvin is up to it or not . Neither do I ! That whole paragraph is redundant of the coaching staff has a different opinion to you .If Galvin is in the team straight away (unless we have absolutely no choice) we’re screwed. If he does he better be ready. Lot more pressure compared to trial games, and given he’s got no experience against men, doesn’t fill me with confidence. However, I hope I’m wrong and he does kill it, but most 18 year olds don’t.Ok bro …. I’ll just run off the facts . You don’t have any idea whether Galvin is up to it or not . Neither do I ! We will see in the trials . He’s either good enough or he isn’t . And if he is … I’ll go back to my original post . Don’t be surprised if he’s suiting up round 1 .
Who was out of league for a few years chasing a bball career .Bula is also 21. Galvin is 18.
And when it happens you generally know well in advance because the guys are just untouchable in lower grades. E.g. Cobbo, Suaalli, Ponga, Folau, GI etc. they do tend to be outside backs a lot-hopefully we can add Galvin to that list but I’m not convinced yet.Not many 18 year olds come in now and absolutely kill it. If he is a superstar … which they keep saying he is , then he will be the exception not the rule .If he does he better be ready. But he was matured and his body was FG ready. Galvin’s isn’t.Who was out of league for a few years chasing a bball career .
I’m glad to hear he’s killing it at training, but let’s be honest he’s got no experience against men yet. Hasn’t played Cup to at least get an understanding of what’s to come when he makes it to firsts, but training and playing are two different things. It’s a big ask of someone who’s got no experience against men to come in and kill it.And when it happens you generally know well in advance because the guys are just untouchable in lower grades. E.g. Not if we release him to the Dragons. They need a half.Galvin more than a million to1 to play r1
Round 2 a chance
You have your view I have mine. Let’s leave it at that.If he is a superstar … which they keep saying he is , then he will be the exception not the rule .
listen to the messaging mate . Is all I’m saying . Seriously …
