And you're entitled to. I just don't think the tap put on Anasta can be compared to a hit from someone coming out of the line and clocking someone like Williams did, or hitting someone when they are already on the ground like Flower did. Each to their own

I would say with Nofa's exit putting us at 29 players in the top 30, we won't promote/add anyone until closer to the 30 June deadline.

We can play any development contracted players anyway from Rd 1 if required (i.e. Lobb, Faataape, Saukuru) and T&T/Cup players from Rd 11 (i.e. Casey, Loizou Willett, Craig, Ngutlik, Kirk, Laulilii).

No need to waste on a spot if we can encourage internal competition to fight for it for half the season.

I would rather cop that than either of the other 2. Anasta wasn't exactly known for his toughness, and he didn't even take a knee. Like I said previously, it's not something that should go without punishment, but it is not comparable to the other 2 incidents.

With the 500k a year we just saved on Nofa, I'd be calling Taylan and Terrell May right now.

As weird as it sounds - if we signed those 2 I'd be fully content with the clubs roster from 1-17.

We need one more winger and one more prop option after the signings of Luai and Olam. I don't see much weakness in our squad besides that. Both May brothers fill that role perfectly.

I think that is the smart play. There always seem to be a few players on the move around the mid season deadline. Hopefully some decent players become available and we can use the Nofoaluma spot and money to pick up a player in a position of need.

Might just be me, but I don't think Terrell would add much to our roster. A young middle with potential and we already have plenty. It would also block one of those guys we already have. Taylan is the one I would be interested in, but he wouldn't come without Terrell and worse Tyrone.

Why do we just automatically make the assumption that another club will sign all 3? I know that’s what they would like, but it’s probably not going to happen.

I’d be more than happy to make an offer to Taylan and Terrel, if they don’t come no great loss.

If Nofa is truly gone,we can take our time ..get thru half a dozen games or so..see whats on the market..and remain opportunistic

Player movement throughout the year is not uncommon. I would be more inclined to keeping the spot open and assess what the area of need is throughout the first part of the season, and who is available to fill that need. Whoever gets the nod in the 2 and 5 to start the year could both have blinders. Taylan May would be a good pick-up, but I don't think we should be making a decision too quickly on who to fill the vacancy Nofa creates.
