Might just be me, but I don't think Terrell would add much to our roster. A young middle with potential and we already have plenty. It would also block one of those guys we already have. Taylan is the one I would be interested in, but he wouldn't come without Terrell and worse Tyrone.

Disagree mate. Terrell has the potential and aptitude to become the next best prop in the game. Good age at 24 as well, has the drive going the long way to the top.
Similar frame size to Pole. 183 and 108kg but is less agressive and more skill.
Reminds me of a young AFB.
Warriors I’ve noticed are looking to sign Uele to replace Blake. Different players all together but for us Uele wouldn’t be a bad pick up. Though it seems he wants 700k a season. Yuk!

Happy to put the eggs in the basket of Klemmer, Stefano, Pole, Twal, Sam Fainu (assuming he transitions to prop over time), Sione Fainu, Faaguutu, Miller, Kit Laulili'i (even though he will most likely be playing lock he might give some minutes off the bench) without blowing the cap over the coming seasons.

I would be tying up Pole before November 1 before signing any outside props to our club. He needs to know he is a priority.

A 2nd rower to take over from Bateman is something I would be looking at. Luki or Finefuiaki from Cowboys would be 2 players I hope we are looking into.

Other than Olam, Api and Klemmer, do we have any others? Tupou is an old player who would be 100% worth it

I think you’d just release him early if he’s not in your plans. Pick the side on form and if he’s playing well, he’s in there.

IMHO, we are not in the position that we can release young, aggressive players, wingers and centres especially.

I just want to make sure that people know that there is no NRL requirement that you have to have your Top 30 filled at all times …

They don’t need to replace Nofo the nanosecond he walk out the door … and maybe having a space spare in case someone shakes loose somewhere is actually a good thing …

I personally think out of the three Faagutu is better at lock with his skillset. Laulilii is similar to Pole for me strong carries and work horse whereas Faagutu has the better ball playing skillset, can defend more and can run the ball when needed for lock even though we didn't get to see much of it last year as he was relegated to Prop for Kit.

We need one more winger and one more prop option after the signings of Luai and Olam. I don't see much weakness in our squad besides that. Both May brothers fill that role perfectly.

I wouldn’t touch those guys given we most likely would have to sign Tyrone as well. I’d take Taylan, but I don’t see that happening to get just him. If it involves having to get Tyrone, that’s a pass for me. Haven’t seen enough of Terrell to make an opinion of wanting him or not.

Exactly.

Terrell has done 3/5ths of f. all. The ease at which some people would swoop in and fill roster spots on a whim smacks of not thinking through the implications of these types of roster moves.

I'm with you on Taylan, Glen.

Hands down a quality winger and a real goer. Would love to have him. But the implications of a tagging-along Terrell, who may be a decent player in time, but offers no form of upgrade atm, along with the pressure that would place on bringing Tyrone back in a package deal, make that an easy pass in my opinion.

Has scored more FG tries than Noffa for all those calling him a legend.

French has scored 35 NRL tries, Nof 100+. That's the only comparison you can make.

Agree big time on this, Taylan is sort of forgotten after a year out but is a potential gun and Terrell looks set to become a key middle at the roosters this year
Would be good business getting them locked in quickly as I reckon they will be as cheap as they will be, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them increase in value a lot with strong seasons in 24

I see Tupou as a regular in the 18 / 19 spot for this season.

I still think if he’s leaving it makes sense to see what is available at the dolphins as they are well stacked with backline talent

with Nofoaluma now gone and Tupou leaving end of year we will definitely need to go to market for a winger for 2025 and beyond. Luke Laulili'i comes into the squad next year, but someone low-risk, high upside fits the bill on a 2 year deal

Jeral Skelton is the ideal candidate for mine. athletic, powerful winger who is great coming out of yardage and holds his own defensively. will come cheap and is stuck behind a stack of outside backs at the Dogs.

Taylan May if he managed to rediscover his 2022 form would obviously a great shout but I doubt he moves here unless we bring his brothers over. Bailey Simonsson, Semi Valemei and Izaac Thompson are other guys off contract and attainable I feel.
