2024 Season Opener, Las Vegas Discussion *Spoilers*

He's worth what someones willing to pay, he got a lot more that we offered.

"Could have been playing his proper position at 6 for us with Hastings at half but he wanted to ‘own the team’" No, the coach decides who plays where.
Yeah… and that worked out well.
Brooks had them all fooled with his wonderful trading and potential.
Had Hastings playing lock AND halfback in attack for a while.
Only times Brooks looked ok.

I agree. I was thinking am I the only one who thinks this is a massive toss? It will being interesting to see if they actually get anything positive out of it. As bitter as it sounds, I hope they lose a load of money.
I'm glad we're done with the Matt Nable ads... A. bit Tedious.but why on.earth do you hope it fails financially?

As I said … worked out well for all his coaches, who got the boot for not moving him out out the starting half spot.
Not forgetting the team who he guided to just how many final series was it?

The hyperbole drove me insane. Didn’t help that the king of hyperbole, Dan Ginane was in the commentary box. Claimed at one point that the Manly-Souths game was up there as one of the highest scoring first round games in history. Idiot.

I thought the Vegas experiment was interesting and the players responded well.
Considering it is round 1, both games were of high quality, played at a fast pace and were entertaining with big hits and plenty of tries. Purists probably sooked a bit but this was sold as an exciting, tough, skilful sport and that is what was delivered.
Kudos to the 4 clubs and all involved with putting this on.
