I agree and that’s the hope that’s he’s simply no longer motivated while at the Panthers, but will be highly motivated once he commences the new challenge of playing for Wests Tigers.Attitude wise I kinda get it.. Imagine breaking up with your girlfriend but saying "hey we will stay together for the next 6 months!" You both are now in Akward hell.
I suspect Penrith a burned out. I mean what are they playing for now? 4 Premierships? They have been running hard for so long.... Cleary needs to manage this cautiously and he has either told the team to take a break OR he is burning out his team and hasn't realised.
Looks promising he was overweight, didn’t want the ball, when it did come to him he preferred to shovel it off to Cleary rather than take on any responsibility himself, last play options were atrocious and some bad misses in defence.
We can only hope something is still going down, he doesn’t want to be there and that’s what is the reason why he was so lacklustre.
There are some absolute nuffies on this forum. What a rubbish thread absolute nonsense some of the things being said here
Did you watch the game ?He ran the ball 24 times (doesnt sound like shovelling it off)and missed 2 tackles, Cleary missed 5
Agreed he will obviously improve a lot over the next few games. The guy hasn’t played in 6 months, 7 if you are looking at him in reasonable health, and upon his first game back, people are judging his contract value for next year?
If he did his shoulder again, there would be some merit, but missing a bit of timing and being a tad gun shy? It’s game 1 FFS….
Yeh of courseDid you watch the game ?
It's Ivan the terrible and the Chins teamAgree M but I was trying to watch him in isolation and picture how he might fit in our set up( and will continue to do so).
It’s early days but I’m hoping to see him take control a bit more coz that’s what you pay the really big money for.
I hope he can develop that and prove Ivan wrong.
Exactly. Too early. Maybe he be saving himself for usI didn't see the game
But wasn't it Luai's 1st game back since the grand final?
And doesn't the chin run the team?
Why are we so concerned than?
Apparently Luai a great all round leader both on and off the field and even Api who we all love begged him to sign with us
So what is the concern?
I think Luai will prove to be an amazing signing
Stop fretting guys
