Six Million Dollar Man

If a team scores zero points, that suggests that both halves were off their game.

Although only one was coming back from a heavy injury lay-off soooooo...
. . . . . . . . and funnily enough the one that had a layoff due to injury and had not played since coming off injured during the Grand Final made virtually no mistakes which is something that cannot be said for some of the much fancied play makers that were supposedly running the team.

Scored the try that sealed the match and came within a bees dick of scoring another. If you can’t see how dangerous he will be when he’s not a marked man at Manly then I guess you’ll just have to wait and find out. 1-0.

He was standard Brooks in that game - https://www.seaeagles.com.au/teams/nrl-premiership/manly-warringah-sea-eagles/luke-brooks/

But I think Luke will be a better player this year because of Manly's supporting cast and Seibold's coaching.

In terms of our 6 million dollar man, I hope he takes it easy at the Riff this year (has a bludge) and gets over his shoulder injury🤞

We are going to need some major upgrades in the backs to help Luai get us into the Top 8

This squad with just Luai added in 2025 won't make the 8 imo
One marquee player to take some focus away from Api and Bula and a dynamic forward off the bench, plus solve our lock issue. That’s my wish list.

A. He didn’t want to be there, that’s been confirmed. He was trying to sign for Newy.
B. He easily could have stopped putting his body on the line in defence and running the ball as often as he did. He never ever put on a dinner suit as a player.
Stats would back that up.

The true architects of our decade of failure are gone from the sport completely.

I’ll be very glad if Brooksy gets a chance to show he was just a victim of their incompetence.
Nah Brooks was backed by the club/coaches to be our DCE and never came close. It doesnt escape me that looking for a level of success that's where he has ended up.
The clubs failure is no way on his shoulders but he played a part in it.
I will watch him with interest but will draw the line at anything other than that.

Now was it just me, or did other
forumers feel a little concerned about how much money, and hope, we have invested in Luai ?
He seems to be neither a setter up, or finisher, of plays, or is just that Penrith had a bad night.
Coz he won’t have anywhere near the level of cattle playing with him when he gets to us. Maybe a tad overpriced I think, which is what I’ve thought all along.
I hope he proves me wrong.
To be fair Hal - he's probably spent the off-season counting our dough, just in case. Once he clears the first Mill I'm sure he'll start focussing on Footy. 🍷 🥃 🥃🍻🤣

Yeah really backed, here’s the keys mate, half the marquee players are busted arses and the other ones are happy to earn their keep in reserves. Do your best!
