OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Lydz - she also had Jordan and Jeremy in the lower grades for a while.

A shame she felt the need to leave - but I do recall most of the contributors being courteous to her.

Yilleen Gordon's missus was another matter - she was on boasting about how he had turned his life around...

Nek minit he is sacked for scrawling offensive "obscene" words and images on a piece of butcher's paper that was being used as a table cover for a promotional school visit!
Wow, really benjis mum used to be on the forum ??? When was that 2005 ? A very good year lol

That’s good. $7 on TAB.
I had a multi with that (LG anytime try/Tigers) but added Faataape as first try scorer $101. Go the new Gen.
Should be a good game the Raiders have a few young players as well I will get on the Tigers that bet sounds good

I think he'll have his moments but am very worried about his turning out to be another Schuster. He is our first choice 5/8 and hope he is physically and mentally prepared to play the whole year.

Very different to Schuster.
Galvin has earned his chance from hard work and dedication, Schuster is a big, powerful physical specimen with elite skills, but in danger of throwing his talent away from laziness and not being willing to work hard.

Galvin has that something about him that I've seen from his SG Ball & school's tournaments. He has that drive to win & lead a team around in both his own performance & directing play.
Agree mate. Haven't seen that much of him but he seems to look for the ball & wants to own the play. Definitely what we need; players like him, and Luai, who want to step up in the big moments.

He's had a very very rapid rise and hasn't had to work as hard as most

From the little I've seen of him he doesn't seem like a dickhead... But I guess that means little I recall Farah having a very high opinion of himself when making his name in the top grade.

Good luck to the young fella hope he sleeps well tonight and has a solid game tomorrow... Not expecting the world just hope he manages to play his role well.. Just be himself and don't try too hard... Play your natural normal game 👌

Time will tell. The amount of kids that were meant to be superstars and then got their 1st big pay check and flop hard is higher than those that convert. It’s his 1st pre season very hard to gauge his workload v existing nrl players once he gets a crack.

We are overdue for some to buck the trend but do think the coaching plays a very big part in motivating and driving the consistency, hunger & very best out of these kids.

Did he sign a 800K ayear contact at 19/20 ? He is out having fun chasing girls not think about next week

What are you talking about? What expectations did I put on him? Your losing the plot GNR.
Well you have him succeeding a guy who already has 50 FG to his name. Like it’s not even a question. Injuries have held Schuster back. You can’t predict what, if any setbacks Galvin will face.

I just think it’s unfair to put all these expectations on him. I was watching clips the other day of Jacin Sinclair. I’ve seen many claim him to be one of the most naturally gifted players they had ever seen. He had amazing ball handling skills from the clips I watched. Very silky. Yet his career was fairly modest. It can happen to any young player. It’s especially harder for a young player coming into a struggling side like ours.

TLDR - Nothing is a given .

You interpreted it wrong.

Schuster is well know for being lazy, overweight and unable to make the necessary scarifces to reach his potential. Galvin will not turn into an overweight lazy trainer, that's all I'm saying. I think that's obvious and not an expectation i have placed on him. Nothing to do with his playing ability. I have no opinion on how good or bad he will turn out. Jacin never trained and committed like Galvin already has.

I can‘t see him ever having weight issues. Kid is a wet noodle.
