Wests Tigers Home Ground Mega Thread

Yep, but different mood out there now from when that call was made. Also the electorate is a little more aware of vote buying now. Also it will never be a swinging seat between the blue and red team. Maybe red and green, and the green would never throw money at a sports stadium.
WHAT, Im appalled ????

How dare they use politics to sway voters.

Richo says something obvious L.O.is antiquated and a poor ground to watch and has poor facilities .
Kent says 25mins to get a beer and go to toilet
Most agree its good for tigers footy and Most love the atmosphere
So obvious solution is to spend a small amount of money fixing and extending facilities
When the Parras and the Penrith get hundreds of millions of govt ( our ) money for major stadiums let alone the chooks with their imagined "ownership " of Allianz
Then the govt should come up with say 10miĺl to fix the problem .This is a pittance compared to Commbank and Allianz and plans for Bluebet
Only problem watching NRL 360 is Kent dominating the conversation too much

Politics . It’s a safe seat for labour . They won’t spend the money . There’s nothing in it for them .
So much for looking out for your constituents. Thanks Albo …..

That's not the "only problem" with NRL 360

It is pretty much a sheltered workshop for Newscorp's trained gossip-column monkeys!

You didn't go to the semis or GF we played there or may in future

What yiu think you'll do when you say it off the cuff like that without thought... And what you'll actually do down the track when the dilemma is staring you in the face... Can be two very different things

I found that out when we merged
I did go to the GF and I've been there a couple of times since and every time I swear I'm never going back.
( This time I mean it )

The writing is on the wall for the 8th. The club makes more at an empty Accor and corporates are doubled. I posted the moment Richo was involved we would move. It’s inevitable unless funds are allocated to upgrade. It’s a shame I only go to LO and CSS games. Has to happen can’t see any other commercial decision long term.

Kent is now a wests tigers member

He’s always there and always at sackville assume he lives nearby. Members ticket saves a few bucks.
The Gary Owen is one of Kent's favourite watering holes seen him there numerous times with his local buddies.

I love Leichhardt oval, I live 8 mins drive away and had some of my best nights going their but despite all that I think and have always thought that we should be playing at ACCOR. I would have preferred that the government built a 30k stadium at Homebush for smaller events but still think we need to bite the bullet and put all 12 games at Accor.

So the Telecrap can continually show the photos of 7,000 die hards in an 80,000 seat stadium. No thanks. Richo is trying to get funding. Don’t be fooled.

The plans by the council fir the ground are pathetic. Have a look at them 40 million snd we barely change the capacity of the ground. But a grandstand above the Glen Morrison toilets connecting to a new grandstand to replace the current one. No point putting lipstick on a pig, if we want to play 5 game here in the future capacity needs to increase. Minimum 25,000, I prefer 30,000, otherwise moving forward in years 16,000 capacity will be unexceptionable. Just putting a new concourse in and a few new toilet blocks won’t cut in in the future. In my opinion we are shooting way to low on what we really require.
Otherwise we are putting of the inevitable!
Keep the hill improve the hill then a grandstand from figs to the crappy old stands. I would bulldoze the old stands and also put a new one across there, but that can probably not happen.

Actually, Labor haven't held the seat for well over decade! If they want to retain government they might need to beat the Greens for the first time in a long time...!

Tigers have played 46 home regular season games at Accor stadium with an average crowd of 22,532. We can never get that at Leichhardt
