OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Really wanted to hear a journalist ask Benji what
was his thinking surrounding using only 15 on the
field & keeping Sullivan & Kepaoa on the bench...

Instead we had Brent Read asking multiple questions
about last year, next week, golf, Wayne etc. Lol

Agreed … not great 15 v 17… but think it shows that Benji hasn’t got a lot of faith in those 2 in a tight game …

Quite possibly TS, would have been insightful to hear
why — Seyfarth/Samuela might be 2 reasons as
to why, both played well & pumped out long minutes.
Game on the line would have been crazy to send
in Bud too, our halves were damn near A-/B+ grading

It'll probably be Bud . . . but I hope he doesn't go down the same path as Bateman in the Canberra game, and to a lesser extent Papi yesterday . . . and try to show off and run a vendetta of showpony against his old team.
It ends up costing us possession, a penalty, and maybe worse.

Latu Fainu told he'll debut this week. Not sure if it
will be off the bench or starting for Galvin per SMH

It'll be off the bench. Benji will want to give Bud a 2nd chance like he did with Seyfarth and see how he responds. Latu on the bench tells Bud that there is another youngster ready to jump him in the pecking order so he needs to step up plus Latu can relieve Api at hooker, replace Bud if necessary. Latu provides cover for hooker, halves & fullback (as Bud can shift to fullback).

I think Benji deserves a lot of credit for how Galvin has transitioned into first grade seamlessly. In each post game interview he's done he has highlighted how Benji has made it so easy for him to come & play his natural game & that he's thriving off of the confidence that Benji has instilled in him.
If Sheens was still here, you probably wouldn’t have seen him at all this year.

You don’t move this kid anywhere

Latu is 18 years old, he will be 21 in the third year of Luai’s contract

If Latu is performing well enough, try offload Luai to another club which shouldn’t be a problem if he’s performing. If he’s not performing, well then Latu earns that jersey

How great is it to finally have competition for places in the halves? Its a real motivator for the players.

Really? The people that were there when Moses vowed to bring the club to it's knees are gone ( namely Pascoe) If we keep winning, Lachy gets what he's worth along the way, and the club isn't the basket case it previously was, he won't move him on.
There was a Negative Nancy poster last week with a case of the sad's because he was convinced Galvin would leave us.
