Wests Tigers Home Ground Mega Thread

Thousands of Sydney fans turn out every weekend at Sydney grounds...what do you base this comment on?

Having been to magic round multiple times, nothing in Sydney could come close.

What venue would you play it at?

Suncorp is home ground to 2 NRL and a SOO team. It has a QLD league star walk, legend statues out the front & location is a key point.

The stadium needs to have good accommodation & food choices also.

With respect, this is your subjective opinion. I don't doubt it's a good event. That's not my argument. You will get crowds in Sydney too...isn't that what it's about? With crowds comes entertainment options. Homebush holds a massive Easter show each year...everything is pop up tents, bars, rides etc. It would be a different experience, but you'd still get crowds and a good time. People are talking like nobody would come if it was held in Sydney...it's just not an argument that holds water.

be interesting to see magic round in Sydney one year. Honestly no idea what the crowds would be like. I’d guess pretty good though? How many people attend an nrl game each week in Sydney as it is? Would have to be up near 70,000? 9 teams so average say 4-5 games currently?

I know if I could watch three games in a row at Homebush I’d go.

Yet they will travel to QLD to watch other teams? Incredible
Because it’s a good show in Brissie.
NSW will absolutely bottle it and to be frank, Sydney is not the Rugby League capital anymore.
Get your own thing…maybe tie it in with the Mardi Gras?

Most only go to home games though. Cronulla and manly fans won't go to Moore Park for a semi.

I assume they are going to go ahead with a design similar to this - surely they can make the seats gold though.
