Which team will get the 18th Franchise

You will sign Australians to live in Cairns, sure.
The PNG blokes though will prefer to be in PNG... kinda. Ok it's complex.
This is where my IQ shows.
What I know, that the NRL has not considered, is PNG players will leave PNG once they are in demand.
If you were from PNG, would you stay in your poor, violent homeland?

Or Australia?

And if they're in demand, it means they're good enough, which means the team will be competitive. And if it is indeed a means to live a much better lifestyle in Australia, then it just encourages more young Papuan players to aim to crack the big time. So all the more likelihood of a growing pipeline of players from PNG.

I think they will produce one out players but not a pipeline.
If Australia are so hellbent on giving PNG 600mil for league, why not help them set up a 6 team pro league?

Why does it have to be NRL? Which will never work. And no Aussie players will go.

If the shambles that is Super Rugby can make Fiji and Moana Pasifika work, the NRL backed by the government can make PNG work.

You've just got to trust me, I've got it all sorted.

They get pumped, but also those countries are more stable and have a much higher quality output than PNG does.
Also PNG wont bring in money, there stadium id 15k only

They get pumped
They're both doing better than the Waratahs
and have a much higher quality output than PNG does.
I'm not sure this is true, Fiji possibly, but most Samoan/Tongan players are born or raised in Australia or NZ. In numbers PNG has massively more domestic players than any of the island nations. In test footy the PNG Kumuls hold their own against any of those countries.
those countries are more stable
Possibly, but they have a very low ceiling. PNG has way more potential upside, as they have 10 times the population of Fiji, 50 times the population of Tonga. If an NRL side is a means to more tourism and overseas investment, their economy can grow very rapidly, they have huge resources.

You don't get it.

Justin will have his entire family over there. Also:
Justin's 400k here is closer to 1M over there.
Living is like $50 aud a week while living in SYD is $500 min.

Justin will only stay here if he likes Syd and if he wants to avoid One Tok's asking him for money every 10 minutes. ... In PNG he could buy a business and live like a king on what he has.

Yep 100%. Living on an NRL salary in PNG would be like living on an NBA or EPL salary in Australia. You would set yourself up for life.

PNG has many logistical problems and security might be an issue as well
Why have a Perth team in an AFL state their heart is not with NRL and more than twice the flying time as NZ
Logic says the Central Coast is the one . More than half a million people who love Rugby League and a clearly defined footprint basically from Umina to Budgewoi about 70 km
Stadium already there .Major clubs like The Entrance Tigers and the Wyong Roos
Central Coast Leagues another big club right next door to Central Coast Stadium
Its all there huge resources huge player feed stream. Its got far more people and resources than Redcliffe .
Its soccer team is a super success as would its League side
Time for Logic !

Central Coast could no doubt support a team, but what's the point? It's not genuine expansion. Everyone there who likes footy is already watching it and supporting a team. They'll simply stop supporting Tigers or Souths or Dragons, and start supporting Central Coast. But the overall market has stayed exactly the same.

All perfectly logical but don’t think the final decision is about logic S.

Perth isn't an AFL state.

Honestly a Bunch of Sydney siders have flown over there. It is ripe for the taking.

South Australia though is an AFL state. AFL could do SOO with South Australia vs Melbourne...
I know, Adult Wine vs Laneway bars! ...

Perth though, it could enter the comp. I had always thought the Jets could be reborn there.....
Naturally with us called "the wests Tigers", we may get moved. (our current performance near guarantees it).

Correct. Every major sport in aus has a team here. Only rugby league people on the east coast call us an AFL state.
We could easily accommodate a team here.

Baseball???? Also if the people in the East call it AFL - you really want to invest there? And yes you are right.... any shit for brains club can start a club there..... its s bit boring over there.... maybe.....

I'm not sure Basball is a major sport in Australia but, yes, Perth has a team in the Aussie baseball comp.
But a competition as big as the NRL couldn't manage it apparently.
