OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

Galvin leaving would be Mitch Moses all over again. We can't let it happen.
Yup - very similar.

Galvin is the best talent we have had since 'the big four' came in. He is really, really good. When you are 18 and throwing yourself into tackles in first grade and taking tackles, you belong.

People can moan as much as they like, fact is we are a miserable wreck - no surprises the best players don't want to waste their careers here.

Only saving grace here is, and we're yet to see him enough in first grade to prove he's equally as good (or better) - having Latu. If he stays...

From Buzz in the DT…

The Wests Tigers are in crisis with revelations their two best young players want out after Friday night’s embarrassing capitulation to St George-Illawarra.

Boom utility star Lachlan Galvin and front-rower Stefano Utoikamanu are both disgruntled after nine straight losses and the likelihood of three straight wooden spoons.

Galvin was overheard in the Wests Tigers dressing room after the56-14 loss to the Dragonssaying that he wanted out, despite being under contract until the end of 2026.

Your columnist understands his manager Isaac Moses has spoken to Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson about the situation and the fact he is being asked to play each weekend with a fracture in his hand.

We have reached out to both Moses and Richardson.
If the Ute wants out, he can walk. He needs to get over his own hype because he's not as amazing as the media is portraying him. Galvin on the other hand should NOT be released full stop.

Richo will draw a line in the sand here. South’s never released any player they wanted to keep. If they leave it’s at the end of contract. It won’t happen. Our only hope is the young kids coming through you let Galvin leave it’s open slather.
Agree. Moses probably thought we’d roll over like we always have. Not with Richo at the helm. Seems a very astute guy when it comes to running a club.

Broken hand is a bit excessive. If it's a wrist sprain or something, maybe it's OK to tough it out but if there's an actual unhealed fracture, it would be quite negligent to let him continue playing for inconsequential games. If it's a small fracture, they take 3-4 weeks to heal anyway.
Probably get rested when Sezer comes back

I said this would happen , stepho will go , Galvin will follow , the two Penrith players will say they have mental issues and can’t come , I just can’t see how the club is going to get out of this , we buy backs , put gave no forwards , we buy forwards but have no backs it’s just a crap circle
Hunt was crapping on about wanting a release at Dragons and they made him stay. Galvin is signed to 2026. He won't be going anywhere

UTE should be paying us for the dribble he has dished out in the losing run .. he is a large part of the problem, what has he done to dominate the middle and get us field position.. hearing that he wants to leave after the words he has spoke ln about loving the club and being grateful that we have him a start and he wants to be here for the rebuild and the future really really pisses me off zzz like has the big unit got no heat at all ? He shirks it against every pack that goes at him . Fully tucks tail and runs ..

Cool story bro !! 😎

Ive seen this one before.

Plenty of gaslighting by some on here when people were discussing how this would likely happen earlier in the year. Like players would just happily stay and waste away their careers.

Benji needs to get a hold of things fast. As if the likes of Miller and Faagatu are going to want to hang around either.
So are we suggesting that only the good players should play at the good teams?

They won’t be happy to waste their careers at the lower ranked clubs so should move to greener pastures.

Interesting to see how that works with a salary cap

These players that want out are a part of the problem in a losing team , it’s time they man up and help their mates dig themselves out of the hole instead of carrying on like sooks and thinking they can go elsewhere
Its a sign of the times. What can the organization do for you, not what you can do for the organization.

It’s not the first time Richo has addressed his parents as well. I know in the recent past, when a young player was tossing up between tigers and dogs, his father was like, go to the dogs. They’ll look after you better. And this bloke is a mad tiger fan.

Disheartening for us fans 😢
