Yep. Strength, resilience, & self-reliance are no longer seen as admirable.Weak as piss.
Knuckle down and work hard, don't take the easy option.
I can't believe I have to actually defend that type of mentality these days...

Nobody that does not want to be here. The club is systematically removing the players that get in the way of the juniors, or constantly float in and out of the team, or bloat the salary cap.
Ice & Sullivan = cap relief
Kepaoa & Naden- cutting the cord on two nearly-there's
Simpkin- see Kepaoa & Naden.
Once we take off the panic-glasses, the realisation is that not one of these players were going to be responsible for turning the club around.
Utoikamanu & Galvin situations will be interesting to watch. I suspect Utoikamanu is actually the more important keep, as I think we are still good with decent young half options if the Galvin thing becomes untenable.
More players need to go. More juniors need to play. Players from outside the club coming in need to fit a purpose.
I think we are seeing a good case of pruning.
Well maybe just keep the team we have and keep finishing last. They don't want him there and are filthy he took up his option.
I don't want him here either, the only coach he has had that's been able to pull his head in is Bellamy, and I don't even really think he did.
At the rosters with GalvinWhere's Bula?
Are we the nice guys anymore?Well maybe just keep the team we have and keep finishing last.
Some of us only want squeaky clean players, but then complain when we don’t have a competitive team.
Have you ever heard of these two very true quotes;
“ Beggars can’t be choosers”
“Nice guys finish last”
Yeah, but you can blame him for his overall poor performances. He wants big money but is playing like a run of the mill middle at best. He needs to step up and earn the big bucks. Can hardly blame him.
He has been here through 3 wooden spoons, multiple coaches and new admin. Can’t blame him for wanting out.
Do you have an opinion on Kayal Iro just read he doesn't have a contract for next yearAre we the nice guys anymore?
Klemmer
Bateman
Sam Fainu

We have some serious hotheads here who all push the envelope on field. Smith wouldnt be an island here. It just depends how bad he actually is off field.
As Tucker said below, we aren't even currently a team of squeaky clean players.Well maybe just keep the team we have and keep finishing last.

He and Benji share the Maori background, maybe Benji is the right person to help him and get him focused ?As Tucker said below, we aren't even currently a team of squeaky clean players.
Smith allegedly has a serious gambling issue to the point it is effecting his career and relationship. I doubt we are the ones to turn it around considering he has had these issues since before he was even in Melbourne. Cowboys sacked him from his first contract. We already lament at how dumb our team is, do we really think bringing in someone even dumber is the solution?
I'd play Brandon Smith at lock if he came here. Culture-wise though, I'm not sure we are the club to get the best out of himHe and Benji share the Maori background, maybe Benji is the right person to help him and get him focused ?
I understand signing someone like Brandon Smith would be a big risk, but we are staring down the barrel of 3 consecutive wooden spoons, possibly 4 of 5 if we don’t take a few risks and do something about it.
If we are being honest there are less than a handful of players currently playing in the UK Super League who are capable of doing anything that could improve us as an NRL team and those players are currently locked in long term contracts.Has anyone heard of any players we are actively scouting for next year? I know Richo went to England to look for some forwards and outside backs. Any sources?
He’s a dynamic lock and the fact he could also fill in at hooker while Api was having a rest would be perfect,I'd play Brandon Smith at lock if he came here. Culture-wise though, I'm not sure we are the club to get the best out of him
A long time ago there were good reports on Morgan Knowles, a second row or lock forward from St Helens?. Tough northern UK forwards are what we require. An Ellery Hanley type would be worthwhile as well.Has anyone heard of any players we are actively scouting for next year? I know Richo went to England to look for some forwards and outside backs. Any sources?

If you finish 2nd you're a loser as well and your name doesn't go on any trophy. Coming 2nd is just 3 weeks better than coming last.Well maybe just keep the team we have and keep finishing last.

Based on Galvin’s actions and rumours of a similar scenario with Onitoni Large, they are doing a good job of being led astray by their own Manager and family. If he gets his head right on the park would be an instant uplift, but at what cost. If we are banking on kids 100% you don’t want him leading them off the field.
As long as you are just as ok coming last as you would be coming 2nd 🙄If you finish 2nd you're a loser as well and your name doesn't go on any trophy. Coming 2nd is just 3 weeks better than coming last.
