Can’t believe Hooper actually writing something with some substance. Let’s hope the media keeping the fire burning on Moses and his dealings

Figure pulling strings in Tiger teen circus;

Wests Tigers teenager Lachlan Galvin seems like a great young bloke from a thoroughly decent family.
Which is why it’s so bizarre to see the agitation and the attempted manipulation around the rookie requesting an immediate release.

Galvin has played 10 NRL games this season and has a contract with Wests Tigers until the end of 2026.

Low and behold the agent puppeteering the strings on the Galvin situation is none other than Isaac Moses.

This is the same Isaac Moses who was involved when his cousin Mitchell demanded an immediate release to move to the Parramatta Eels.

The same year Moses also moved James Tedesco to the Sydney Roosters and Aaron Woods to the Bulldogs.

All three players – like Galvin – were local Wests Tigers juniors.

For unknown reasons Moses has now apparently thrown his toys out of the cot about Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall.

This is not unusual given Moses has a penchant for fallouts with some of the biggest and most influential figures in the game.

Nick Politis, Phil Gould and Ricky Stuart all point blank refuse to deal with him.

Good on Wests Tigers CEO Shane Richardson for having the cojones to reject the release request.

The mail is Richardson will meet Galvin’s parents this week to explain the Wests Tigers reasoning and outline the club’s plan moving forward.

And spare us the fluffy cupcake fairytales about the Wests Tigers refusing to provide him with a direct pathway into the NRL.

We can’t think of too many other NRL coaches who would have selected the 18-year-old in the no.6 jumper for the start of the season.

The only two games Galvin’s missed is when he was suspended for a hip drop tackle at the conclusion of round three.

He’s then been rested this week which was always planned as he recovers from a broken hand.

The Wests Tigers met Moses last Friday and offered an upgrade and an extension on Galvin’s current deal.

Moses immediately rejected it and then the circus began to unfold off the back of it.

Like we said at the start Galvin seems like a great young bloke from a good family.

But there are no winners when agents try to agitate with players under contract.

It’s also interesting to note NRL CEO Andrew Abdo has weighed in on the issue warning rules are rules around players under contract.

Was Moses acting on advice from Galvin and his family prior to the meeting to reject the upgrade and extension? It would be hard not to believe there have not been other discussions which didn't include WTs. Ian Chappell would often comment that you do what your opponent would least like you to do. I say do nothing and let Galvin sit on his current contract for 2.5 years and let him soak in the experience of having Luai, Turuva and perhaps a couple of other good players arrive to improve the squad.

The reason why we are such an easy target is because we don’t win enough games to silence it. That’s why it doesn’t seem like other teams cop it as much as us, cos they have their struggles, then shake it off and move up the ladder. We never do, hence why these stories constantly linger.

The journalists wouldn’t be squeezing every second out of this disfunction if they weren’t getting clicks and views …

The Titans have never even sniffed a premiership in their existence, and are this year running second last with a much better team than the Tigers, and a premiership winning coach, but not much point journalists bagging them because no one could give a f

I think we should be thinking of players as valued club members rather than opponents. That doesn’t mean they don’t need clear boundaries and get everything they want.

I can’t believe how well Tommy Talau is going at Manly … he was given a lot of opportunity here and never capitalised..l think it was more of an attitude issue in hindsight..

Kepaoa has issues that just make him a liability….low football IQ, poor concentration, suspect defence, bad hands and low confidence …he can literally lose you a game on his own …

If he now manages to kick on , even at the best team in the competition, then all the coaches he had here should turn it up..
Junior Pauga had all of the issues you mentioned and pretty sure he did lose us a game on his own. Somehow he turned it all around at the Roosters.

Nice one champ, as if I would follow u around! Please I have much better taste than that. It’s just that u troll on every topic on here ‘the disrupter’! Not upset it’s just annoying…
If he annoys you - then you really have deep issues - its not like he is taking your money away - asking for money... I mean this is a forum.. you both are pretty good and we can learn from both of you....

Clearly Cleary sees it differently.... to be honest.

yes he does …but as I said upthread … Cleary is not infallible..he brought in several duds and injured crocs when he as here …

The fact that a player that has been pretty poor like AJ, can get a gig at the three time premiers to me underscores how tight this player market really is and how tough it is to find any depth …

Player market is thriving at our club... like a garage sale
