I feel the same, but different. I think he has the skillset to be both a great 5/8 or a centre, however he doesn't have the mental resilience to do the hard work required. The reconstructions will only make it harder.
In order to be a leader of a club, you need to show unwavering relentness to excellence over a few seasons and I don't think Douehi has even played half a dozen games in a row at a 7 or above. He has too many fade out moments, too many defensive lapses to be successful and if he wants to prove himself in the NRL, he needs to string a season or two together without lapses which I don't think he is capable of, especially in a losing team like ours.
