Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I didn’t like Benjis holiday tbh and Richo invoking Paul Green, makes me uneasy.

There’s no comparison. Zilch.

But I suppose he had to say something positive about it, that’s his job. I understand.

I was thinking about Tim turning up a few years ago and the whole idea was to build some kind of regime and everyone went along with it based on his experience and reputation.

I suppose he said to Lee and Co that we would hit milestones at certain points.

His 2 or 3 games to get us operational, when he was coaching turned to 6 and then he declared that things were far worse than he envisaged.

And of course, by that time, I think Lee and Justin had lost confidence in him privately, sounding out Fulton on the sly.

In contrast, Benji is not as courageous with public promises and …that’s served him much better.

I just love the way he tries hard to make the coaching and so called “system” sound so technical, as to liken it to a feature of an advanced civilisation, while trying to dumb it down to anyone who cares to listen.
I reckon he was top of the class in those how to deal with media and the like programs while he was a player, bcoz he’s pretty slick in that regard. But obviously you can see through him too.
I had and still have absolutely no recollection of his playing days. That’s how much of an impression his playing ability had on me.

Its interesting, how an organisation can change people invent a new story and remain the same.
cursed.

it might be because thousand of years ago, the footy gods declared we should become the Balmain Magpies and we went the other way.

And because of this original sin, we are eternally doomed.

I might suggest the change of name to Richo, seeing that anything goes these days.

Slip it in under “ secret plan to procure Lindsay Collins”

That involves hacking Lindsays email and pretending to be Robbo.

Dark arts Richo. Whatever it takes my son.

We’ve been all fair, good, positive and reasonable because Lee is some kind of righteous rumphole.

It gave us the spoon.

I say we turn nasty. Sell our souls like all of the other teams, rip off all and sundry, cheat, lie, steal and.. start winning!

Its my biggest hate with him. The way he tries to make out he knows the exact round he expects a dip in performance, knows the the round things will click. Like it's planned in preseason exactly how it goes. Makes me sick.

Agree, we can no longer afford to have a practicing lawyer working with the club. We need to play these nutters at their own game.

On Galvin….. to say I’m disappointed would be a massive understatement. I’ve always liked Galvin as a player and his maturity on the field has always blown me away, however his maturity off the field has been nothing short of disgusting.

For a club to hand him his debut at 18 and give him the keys to our team knowing there’s gonna be an uphill battle with a team coming from back to back spoons and a roster set to be bolstered in 2025 with Luai (bought to partner him) and Turuva. Also considering no other team in the NRL would’ve handed him his debut as quickly as we did to also give him the opportunity to prove to the league he was ready for that leap.

To then be 8-9 games into his career and to start making demands he wants out immediately and as publicly as he has to allegedly blurt it out around the whole locker room has stunned me.

From a mail perspective don’t let the media companies fool you….. this is ALL about money. Moses has good connections in the media and I can assure you the planted reasons of anything else is just to distract you from the fact he can make double if he went elsewhere for 3 years and most likely to a club winning football games.

Richo isn’t Pascoe….. Lachie won’t be going anywhere and if he does it’ll be in 2027. I expected this from the slimily Moses but not from the kid. Utterly disappointed.
More than agree with everything you have said, and said well.
Personally, I think debuting and as it has panned out, too much too soon for the kid. No one likes loosing, and we do it better than anybody. To mum and dad - he’s 18 and signed a legally binding contract, just like at the Optus shop for his mobile phone.

It amazes me all the negative talk we hear in the news,
And most nights on 360 about our West Tigers.
We now have a heap of injuries, close to the bakers dozen.
Yes we have only won 2 games but South's & Titans have each only won 3 only 1 more than us,
And Parra only 4.
But only one team is on the permanent hit list for reporters to continually whinge about.

One of the Richoisms we used to hear in all his interviews was that the Tigers CEO job and path to the premiership wouldnt be as hard as Souffs because he was starting from a higher base …

I wonder if he will keep saying that,,,

I think they hadn't been near a grand final in 30 years and hadn't had a premiership since the early 70's but their trajectory is much the same as ours
"After being readmitted, South Sydney were initially unsuccessful in the premiership, finishing amongst the bottom three teams for five seasons straight including three wooden spoons. "

It took him 10 years to win the Premiership with Souths… we will see how he does here but I don’t see him in the role at the Tigers for 10 years ,,,he will be long gone

Good news folks …

Bud saying he isn’t going anywhere and wants to see out the 4 years at the Tigers

Will give Bud credit - given the attitudes of others you have to respect Bud for wanting to play for us and do well. He has talent and seemingly the right attitude.

No issue with him fighting for a halves spot and being willing to play anywhere in the 17
