Adam Doueihi #227

He’s saying all the right things needed to get a upgraded contract
Shame he can't put his words into action on the field!

If he could make basic effort plays and effective tackles he could possibly be a decent NRL player - but he has never done either!

Rabbitohs fan from way back you say? @Demps

Hopefully Cheika does get the Parra gig and AD can then be fake passionate about another club while not in rehab.

I will go down on record to say I haven’t been a fan. I don’t think he has the skill set required to be an NRL half or even a centre. Nor could he become a forward with his lack of physicality and intent. I have questioned his effort and heart on many occasions.
I do however give him credit for the strength and courage he has shown to make his come back this time. As much as he has talked himself up here, I like what he’s saying- I only hope he can walk the walk.
Whatever happens with him I truly hope he is able to make a full and complete comeback and move on with his career.
Best of luck AD!!!
I feel the same, but different. I think he has the skillset to be both a great 5/8 or a centre, however he doesn't have the mental resilience to do the hard work required. The reconstructions will only make it harder.

In order to be a leader of a club, you need to show unwavering relentness to excellence over a few seasons and I don't think Douehi has even played half a dozen games in a row at a 7 or above. He has too many fade out moments, too many defensive lapses to be successful and if he wants to prove himself in the NRL, he needs to string a season or two together without lapses which I don't think he is capable of, especially in a losing team like ours.

If we are thinking of Adam in terms of 5/8 we may as wll cut him now. Im not sure why he is playing half in cup.
We dont need him in that position, barring a crisis of injuries.

In my opinion he would make a good benchie as he can cover the backline and play lock, maybe 2nd row, maybe even hooker.

When injuries hit the backline he starts at 4.

He has value in this role for the right price.
he needs to accept the 200 the club has offered him for next year, I told this to his cousin myself.

His interview was all class today. The resilience and character to come back from what he's been through is very admirable. Looks big and strong as well, no doubt he'll be a great asset for the back half of the year.

Best thing is he's a winner and is very professional in his preparation, at the very least he's a positive influence on this young squad with what it takes to be successful in the NRL
