SauceGood news Galvin is staying
I think the $800k earmarked for Stef could be used to get a better prop. I reckon there would be a few willing to break their contracts for $800k. Or a $600k prop with $200k left over for another player.
From memory Spencer Leniu went to the Roosters for $550k (on the books).
I agree mate.We signed Turuva to play centre and Olam signed a 3 year deal. I dare say they feel they have their starting centres. My guess is they are looking for a winger.
I'd be Re-signing Alaimalo. He will be good after a full preseason along with the experience he has gained this year. He ticks a lot of boxes. Willing carrier of the ball, big body, superb under the high ball and defensive decisions have shown a steady improvement with game time.
We can definitely get a quality 2 years out of him.
That leaves Lobb, Staines, Willett and Laulilii fighting out the right wing.
I'm ok with it. Healthy competition should wield 2 decent wingers out of that lot. There isn't much to sign in the player market. Maybe Shiller from the Raiders?
I agree mate.
Alaimalo has all the tools to be a very solid performer in first grade. Another preseason would do wonders heading into 2025.
Willet and Luke L will be knocking the door down in the next 12-18months to take the other spot, which will likely be Lobb or Staines for the moment.
Good news regarding Galvin. We all go back to loving him
While it's good to hear he's honouring his contract, there is nothing there to indicate this issue not going to come up again soon.![]()

Still feels like he'll leave as the contract ends.Good news regarding Galvin. We all go back to loving him
Bit different to Katoa, Luke is much more flashy almost Walshy to a degree just not on his level maybe a poor man’s Walsh but still very flashy, extremely fast and powerful with his runs. Smaller frame though standing at 175cm.I have only seen a little of Laulilii but he grabbed my attention straight away. I think he will be our version of the Sharks Katoa. Powerful runner with footwork.
Next year if we have a better season he may have a change of heart and discuss an extension.Still feels like he'll leave as the contract ends.
True colours have been shown also.
Nothing good about it, rly

Very happy many greats of the game and journos started to turn on Galvin's decision. No doubt. Let's see if he can learn from it. I think the likes of Andrew Johns and most of the media pushing against what he was doing has a big influence. In the past the Journos would nearly put it all on us and claim we are negligent for not letting him go. So I reckon he was shocked at how much support the club got and backed down.
The key detail missing in the bulldogs revival is they moved on on contract players who were still in demand. (Was a plausible option with teams like us still performing worse than they were) in comparison our players are looking at England as no other clubs are interested (other then the Papali deal.)I think you might find that the Bulldogs just didn’t let players go.. they signed quite a number as well…
Thankfully, the exact opposite has happened. The resolution is he stays for 2 years. Richardson's comment that there was fervid discussion with Moses gave it away that the latter did not get what he wants. The campaign is likely to ramp up.
