OFFICIAL Lachlan Galvin #277 *Released* Career Discussion.

)
Are you for real?
It's all about him he should be there

Should be there …. Sure …

Just saying we don’t know the background…

For all we know … he has stage parents who “know what’s best “ for him and told him he wasn’t required to be there

if it comes out that he was invited and chose not to attend I’ll agree with you …

Words are a bit hollow for mine. He is staying because he was told he is not going. If he is truly on-board, he signs the extension. Maybe it is coming in the coming weeks when a few more dollars are eeked out.
That's what it seems!

All well and good today's articles but they don't say where all these rumours about his dressing room rant & wanting out multiple times have come from. Why don't the articles address that??? hmmmm

This isn't a kid Texting dad saying he's goin to have the car a few hours longer
Benji is his boss and there's 100s of thousands of dollars being discussed
@tomshins Why he wouldn't be invited is a stretch as well.. If its.me.im expecting to be there... I don't see why he wouldn't be invited this isn't U/10s and he's not a minor
Good responses mate.
The rest of you are talking shit.

Abdul Qadir has come out of retirement to put his own brand of spin on the matter.

Galvin is an effort player. Super fit, has a lot of touches and as a result comes up with the really good stuff.

As far as pure 5/8 goes, I agree with you. He plays way too sideways. If you look at Olam, he simply doesnt know where to run. He has gone from a great hole runner to having no confidence hitting the line and it because Galvin cant set it up right. I would actually laugh if he went to the Roosters. Walker and Galvin running across field would drive the coach and team mates mad.
Well observed.

I hate this push from player managers that everyone should be a 'half'... obviously because that's where the big money is!

Except a decent center that can run holes and defend their line is invaluable. Picking holes in a line is a tough skill.
At a club level we have seen many halfbacks and 5/8's fail.
Some 5/8 can succeed as a hole runner. But we really need to get the ball out wider.

At an Origin level, how many halves have NSW burned? Good halves, that couldn't find holes in the QLD defensive line? Pearce, Luai, Hynes... I mean seriously it's hard to train someone to be a half.

We hired Benji and Benji played in the halves and mainly at 5/8. Can he coach 5/8? Can he coach an attack?

What's the point of having NRL's best 5/8 (ok arguably... and arguably even among tigers fans) if he can't coach an attacking 5/8?

So according to today's media ... Galvin's parents want him to stay

"(Galvin's parents) made it clear that he wants to stay and he wants to be here and he's with us, with our vision moving forward," Marshall said.

So where did all this crap about him wanting out come from??? If it wasn't Lachie, wasn't his parents, who is responsible for all these lies? And why are they not being held accountable for lies & deceit?

Can someone explain to me why? I want head/s to roll for the anguish caused for player, family, club & fans!

I think, from the outside, looking in...
This hasn't painted Galvin in a good light at all.

People aren't responding well to this drama with Galvin. Had a quick browse on what's being said on other forums and social media and its all very negative.

Well done to Isaac Moses.
Two wins and he’ll be a hero again.

This happens to one of the best 18-year-old players in the NRL and he is at one of the moderately performed clubs. We did well to retain him but this is not the state of play in the NRL today. Something has gone wrong because he should be at one of the glamour clubs who win. A market correction has been attempted and while Richardson and Betsey did well, it is a hollow victory. I don't believe this is the end of the saga.

I'm aware it's the norm... But it's disrespectful and shows how he's been taught
There was no Texting or emailing at my old employer... Wasn't accepted
If his parents and manager were there , than my guess is , that Lachie has communicated to people that he has external pressure and as such , the club ie. Richo has decided to sit down with that “external” pressure to nut out the issues .its the only thing that makes sense , otherwise as you say , Lachlan should be the one sitting in the room , not his parents and manager .
The fact that this was considered the most effective way to achieve a resolution, and ultimately that proved correct , is a real testament to not only the external influences around him, but also to the real youth of this kid .
He might be mature for his age with a ball between his hands , but that’s pretty much the opposite when you’re talking about between the ears .
I would also suggest a certain nrl ceo has made a few phone calls , reiterating his stance on sanctions for the “imaginary” clubs that definitely arnt giving Moses the green light to agitate” that definitely isn’t happening and it’s absolutely not Penrith and the roosters .
