This happens to one of the best 18-year-old players in the NRL and he is at one of the moderately performed clubs. We did well to retain him but this is not the state of play in the NRL today. Something has gone wrong because he should be at one of the glamour clubs who win. A market correction has been attempted and while Richardson and Betsey did well, it is a hollow victory. I don't believe this is the end of the saga.

We were once one of the glamour clubs of the nrl circa 2005 around November to 2012 around the same time .
Whilst I tend to agree with you , at the very least the nrl has a vested interest to have the best players playing for the best teams , that doesn’t mean what is true today will be tomorrow .
Penrith during the same period and well into the teens were hardly a “destination” club.
Parramatta were the basket case of the nrl , despite a brief moment in the sun for Jarryd Hayne , and manly were the club built around local boys doing local things for thier local club .
South’s were still the ugly step child of the nrl , although Rusty had just come aboard , but everyone thought he was a lunatic to give up the pokies revenue .
And Gold Coast were thought to have a team that if the ball bounced the right way could push for a premiership .
Nearly none of that is remotely true 12 years later .
The nrl will shift its allegiances to whoever is the shiniest toy. We dropped the ball in the early teens , and have never recovered . It’s even more heinous when you realise we definitely had the cattle in place to have a succession plan .

So where did all this crap about him wanting out come from??? If it wasn't Lachie, wasn't his parents, who is responsible for all these lies? And why are they not being held accountable for lies & deceit?

I will cop that Madge did not always have the Cattle he wanted.

To be fair , he’s done as much damage as anyone could have hoped for in regards to this little saga .
if his parents were being misled , and everyone is on the up and up , than unless they’re the dumbest, most trusting people alive , it’s hard to not think how stupid and bad Moses has made thier boy to look .
At the very least even if they were trusting Moses , it wouldn’t be an unreasonable assumption to think they’d be asking if the right guy is managing thier kid .

Like using a real estate agent to sell your house and to get more money from the buyers. You don’t call them up and ask - they’ll say “we don’t have more” - are you going to call them liars? Then you’re screwed. Use a 3rd party to do your dealings. It’s cleaner

At least 3 players are on more money who offer significantly less value to the Team.

Plenty of time for him to seek more money later on in his career. Hes only bloody 18 years old earning 150k a year

Agree and hope so too.

I have faith in Richo to get us the best possible outcome in any situation. He’s like 1,000,000 times better than Pascoe and probably the best (top 3) administrators in the game. Even if we lose Steff knowing Richo is leading negotiations means there’s nothing that could be done to keep him.
