Richo's To Do list

Does anyone know how long Heath Mason is signed for ? I have watched him through his club junior career and he is a better version of the Raiders Ethan Strange. Outstanding tough fullback that can also play at 5/8 the kid has huge potential. He has progressed in leaps and bounds since playing Australian Schoolboys last year with Galvin. He is my smokey to play in the halves with Luai or he will push Bula into the centres.

If we can hold on to this great junior talent the future is bright for our club.

A forum member advised that he believed he is on development contract next year and then into the top 30. The club obviously holds him in high regard.

It’s generally only the above average players who hit too speed quickly when running the ball and don’t slow down or brace upon impact.

Agree.

For optics,with 2 maybe 3 spoons,Luai coming. Be good to have a change of
perception for next year. Be nice to win a few too. I always like 08 or 09 heritage jerseys.
Balmain for LO,Magpies for CS and alternate for away games. But that's just my opinion.
Though something completely different to what we use now would be good.

With his versatility, do you think he could play right centre as that's where our immediate need is? I'm sure attack-wide he could, it's just whether he has the defensive capabilities at this stage of his career at 19yo.

In the games I have seen Mason play at fullback he really needs to improve his ball catching at the back (a given for a fullback). Has let quite a few bounce when he was in a position to contest

Very versatile athlete, it would be great seeing him play and get experience in the top grade. It will only be very beneficial for his career and be great for us fans to have a very viable option in the future to play anywhere in our side from 1,3,4,6,7,9. Future is looking great
