Even though his defence was suspect, he did offer quite a bit in attack at centre. This will be a fantastic move if he can get his defence right and is willing to play the positions he's asked to.

his attack at centre is good, defence in general not so good. At 225k he is better than fataape or feledy at centre
 
I personally feel that when you want to fill that spot in your roster that requires low wage versatility, you want it to go to a strong trainer/ clubman. Like a Connor Tracey, Drew Hutchison, Nat Butcher, Kurt Mann type utility.

Adam has said some strong words and has a lot to prove, but I feel the spot we have him at requires someone who has shown leadership through their actions already.

Hope I'm wrong because I do have a soft spot for Douehi, but I wouldn't have signed him for next year personally. We don't need another "could be a star".. we need player who have shown what it takes to be a day in day out NRL player, doesn't matter if they have already reached their ceiling.

The dogs didn't buy all those blokes on Utility value - They bought character....
Some real backbone amongst em...

We got ways to go in this area....

You realise he was voted the players player his last full year. (2021)
There are a load of blokes in our top 30 now who will likely never see more than a few first grade matches (if any) on the same or more money.
He's versatile in the halves, centre and fullback and could easily play lock.
$225,000 for the year is a bargain (hopefully no more knee problems)

3 years ago mate. The games changed a lot since then.
 
Nothing wrong with having plenty of depth in the halves look how many of them we had injured on the weekend
 
I like it, he can cover anywhere in the backline if needed but would make a great centre as of right now. Has size, great passing game and strong running game. He adds another dimension to our attack - which is limited and pedestrian, with Olam the only real threat in our outside backs.
Can kick a good spiral bomb too.
The issue is we've overcommitted with players like Naden, Staines, Toa etc but I'd rather take Adam over both Naden and Toa, no disrespect. He's also on minimum wage.

Seriously check out how big he is in comparison to Blocker even. If he could tackle he'd make a great lock IMO. But I'm content he'd be another big body in a team that is very undersized and that he brings some craftiness (though sometimes a hog), as our only spark in attack usually comes from Bula.

Adam interview on SEN now.
Feels body is ready for First grade now.
His knee not 100% after first and second knee surgery and was never fully confident with it. 3rd surgery and now feels a lot different after different 2 part surgery procedure.
Mentions prefers being in halves with his large voice in team and kicking game. But spoke about being possible lock and also confident as a centre In future.

I wonder if benji thinks he can but AD into a lock playing forward , for that to happen he needs to fix his defence up , he is a ball player and a big body , so maybe this could come off for us

Hope Richo doesn't love him as much as Lee loved Nofo.
 
Good runner of the ball. In the games he played centre, he would often make a good 10m run out of our own end to start our return sets strongly.

Shocking defender, however. Seen some literal turnstile efforts from him in the past.

If the reported deal being on or close to minimum wage is true, then I am all for it.
