The best thing about today?

It was tough to see tries disallowed and a dodgy try awarded to Canberra but damn it was refreshing to not see them drop their heads and give up when decisions didn’t go their way. They believed in each other & played like a team, in fact they played like they had been playing together all season. The young kids really dug deep and didn’t hesitate, the confidence today was a thing of beauty.

Parra is definitely the cherry. But really, the story is how good Galvin is. Anyone who still believe‘s he should be let go has rocks in their head. You can keep Latu. His brother on the other hand, good lord can that boy play. Only 20 too.
I'm a broken record about Galvin - but he just keeps proving what a player he is. People here turn on players as soon as they want out, as if they're suddenly not as good.

Haven't been this impressed since Grant's rookie season with us, though that time wasn't as exciting because he was never going to be ours.

I'm still super skeptical about where Galvin's future lies after this contract, but the only way to keep him is to keep winning. With next years additions, and these young kids making an impact - we might be a chance.

Seeing the squad showing some ticker. Stick together boys and more wins will come.
As the WT fans, we on several occasions thought "that light ahead, must be the end of the tunnel", but we were forced "back to the earth" when that light was actually a locomotive. 😢
Let's hope that this time, we really start to approach the end of the tunnel. Inshallah 🙏

Kid is elite. So much time on the ball.

This current football program began in mid 2021 when we appointed Sheens/Marshall, and I'd say this is the 2nd match after the Sharks game where you can actually see the work from the training paddock coming through and the team puts in a complete performance and the combinations and belief are there.

Its not all Api digging thorugh at 9 towards the try line or the infuriating Brooks-ball we had persisting with for the previous decade. There is a balance. Really fast and powerful combinations are starting to form (particuallry Latu, Galvin Bula) that mean we have a few ways to threaten sides and score points instead of playing one dimensional football.

I didn't see that against the Titans last week but it was certainly there today. Brilliant. Be nice to know how much this improves when we start playing with a rep halfback who's already won two comps playing with Api.

I’m gonna call it now. All the calls for Fainu are just plain rubbish. God willing, our halves for the next 5 years are going to be Galvin/Luai. He’s almost in Sulivan territory in regards to being needed imo.

The try he set up for Api, a lot of players would have messed that up by kicking to the corner, or throwing a long pass. It was obvious that the play was to put it into the in-goal, but it’s easy to say that from your lounge room. To actually be in the moment as a player, and have the composure to slow down, sum up the situation and execute showed class beyond his years. The combination he’s forming with Fainu on the left edge is something to behold.

Why counting L Fainu out?

Definitely hard to fit them in, but we should experiment with their positions at the very least.

We're no top club so players don't stick around to play 2nd fiddle like at Storm/Roosters, but those clubs have had this 'problem' heaps and managed to make it work.

He might develop into a really good player, but a bit like Simpkin, I think he’s going to be a square peg trying to fit into a round hole at this club.

*The composure Galvin showed for Apis try... It like he turned the game to slo mo for a few seconds

*Douehi I'd forgotten how good he can be... I recall a commentator saying he's all knees and elbows in a big fast strong body can be unstoppable at times... I was skeptical of him at center... He's had a hell of a recovery but what a comeback!
* Challenging kicks... Does my head in just watching the opposition catch a 5th tackle bomb... Today showed challenging can pay off
* the atmosphere coming thru the TV.... PLENTY of atmosphere there today and great to get a 4 year monkey off our back with a flogging
*scoring 8 tried in a game when all we could recently mange was 2, maybe 3 a game 💪

Galvin is definitely world class but Latu is defs not in Sullivan territory. Just remember how talented all these Fainu bros are & that Latu was dubbed as the best one poor kid has just been unlucky with injuries.

Where’s he going to be play? Please don’t say the halves. There’s no way you can move Galvin.

After tonight's win we just need to win 9 more of 10 games to make the 8 (9 wins 18 pts 1 BYE left plus current 12 pts. = 32)

BTW Does anyone know when our last game which had been a BYE was switched to the 2nd last Round with our last game now vs Parra. Now wouldn't that be a game for all seasons to make the 8! BRING IT ON kids!
