Does he add much at 14? He is a game manager

I think I would rather TDS or Mason there. Although, I would like to see Mason have a run at FB

1. Mason
2. Bula/Lauilili
3. Doueihi
4. Olam
5. Turuva

Guaranteed they won’t be fit at all time so they’ll all get a run. Eventually Olam will drop out due to his age/retirement.
Yeah Salad is not playing 14. 7’a make terrible benchys.

They’ve just said on 360 if Stef decides to leave we’ll be making a big play for NAS.
This is just a clip off an article that i came across about him being contracted to the storm for the next 3 years. How our blokes think they can get him over the line to the wests tigers is beyond me , and why they would consider it , seeing that he is still contracted to storm.

"The 28-year old was dogged by rumours of a potential exit from the Storm amid a difficult pre-season which was marked by repeated injuries but Asofa-Solomona says he's keen to stay in Melbourne until the end of his current deal in 2027."

As opposed to what ?
Quite a few NRL teams have a hooker who cannot play any other position on their bench.
Api will simply not be able to physically continue to play the full 80mins each and every week and as much as I like TDS as a player, he is really a hooker who cannot play any other position.
Sezer would be more than capable of playing as a backup number 9 to give Api a rest, he would be more than capable of playing short stints as a link style of 13 to straighten the attack and create extra space for the likes of Luai to work with and obviously could play in the halves if required.
He would be far from a wasted bench spot with the effort and leadership he offers.

Mason on the bench hooker fullback half and centre everything is covered

Ok so to elaborate; I don’t reckon Salad will wanna play 14 and will probably get a gig elsewhere at 7.
And I reckon 7’s generally make crappy 14’s, that’s just my opinion. I wasn’t really having a dig at your post as such, but I can see where you may have thought so due to the shortness of my comments.
Def agree Api needs a rest during games for longevity. We need a decent 2rf who can cover centre just as well so we can comfortably have TDS on the bench.

I'm not sure anyone doubts that Stef is better then NAS and considerably younger. However if we can't keep Stef then it doesent matter how good Stef is it becomes what else can we bring in and how do they mix with what else we had.

Without Stef we have
Pole
Klemmer
Twal
Sione Fainu
Jordan Miller
Chris Faagutu
Rueban Porter

I think NAS gives you size, power, would be a great one for Miller to learn off given their similar size players and also is one of the best available and still has 2-3 years left in him.
No doubt but I'm still going we keep stef

Chammas had some interesting news on 100% footy.

* Cotric to Catalans for 3 years
* Guler wants out of Canberra on compassionate grounds, he is from Sydney and could possibly be a good pickup for us
* Daniel Saifiti might get squeezed out of Newcastle due to cap pressure, I could see him being one the Dogs pickup
* Tupouniua not off to Dogs yet, no offer even on the table and closer to going to Dolphins than Dogs

I don't understand how you can basically live on here but missed Richo saying 2 weeks ago that we have 1-2 spots left with 1-2 mil to play with (the variation here is whether Stefano re signs)

We have plenty of cap money, our issue is roster spots.
But there is a lot of dead wood in the top 30 , they just got to get rid of them , to open up spots

You gotta love the double standard between Storm and Tigers. Firstly no one talked about how before Storm decided they didn’t want Olam they resigned him for 3 years I believe. Then now with the potential of Nelson Asofa-Solomona leaving everyone seemingly forgot that they just resigned him last year on a four year deal.

I can’t help but wonder if it was us that they’d be calling it a major recruitment blunder and how we suck at player/cap management. I’d honestly rather keep stef then sign nas, Stef has more upside and has Father Time on his side as well. Nelson a softie for how big he is.

We won’t be getting Willison, not sure how some think we will ?
The point I am making is if we retain Stef, there probably won’t be enough money to sign Royce Hunt in any case.
But if we lose Stef we will desperately need a prop with plenty of size and impact to strike a big of fear in the opposition and even if it is only for 25-30 minutes per game, Hunt would be the only prop currently available who could provide what we would be missing from Stef.
If we are being honest Stef only really provides 25-30 minutes f quality each game in any case.
Have seen Willison playing this year, he is not close to how he was playing last year, I would give him big miss.
