LIVE GAME Round 17 vs. Roosters

Live Game Discussion
I thought Luke Laulilli showed plenty of promise.
As expected I knew he would struggle under the high ball and there was a couple of poor defensive reads early in, but for a kid who has only just turned 18, tonight gave me more hope that he could be another Brian To’o in the making.
He needs more time in NSW Cup to really fine tune his game, but he could have a big future if he keeps himself dedicated.

he is going ok for a guy that’s only turned 18 and played two games … I wouldn’t have played him tonight as I said earlier … but to be honest … he certainly did no worse than most of his teammates

I don’t like the To’o comparisons though …that guy is unique

It’s typical from him. We can get far better value bringing others through.
We clung on to hope with Brooksy for far too long. For all his shortcomings, at least as a 7, I never questioned his courage or effort.
Hope we draw a line with Utoikamanu.

yep and its not like u can just stop watching a tigers games and start watching other games and be happy cause the game itself has got so boring and that also makes me feel bad that these people who run the nrl are destroying the game for me

geez man … I reckon the standard of the games has rarely been better … although the weather affected a lot of the games this week… the Knights v Eels was great though

His only option is to become a similar player to To’o as he doesn’t have any real weapon aside from his fearless ball running.

From the first set it was clear the tigers were not up to it physically. I basically wonder if they were a bit scared or intimidated. It's a weird look for a professional team.

Api was very sloppy with his passing, not a good game from him, he must be given a break somewhere. I reckon the first 15 off because I'd love to see him playing fresh at the end of the 1st half.

Across the board we were poor, and I wonder if it's unfair to be critical of individual performances given how dominant roosters were, but then you look at S Fainu and he still manages to play with intensity and effort, even after multiple hospital passes.

Roosters were all over our very limited attacking movements. They got to the spots before our players even did. And then in attack they went straight to our weaknesses and tore them apart. Manu was unstoppable. It was brutal out coaching by Robinson. Roosters absolutely knew what we were doing before we were even doing it.

It was hard to see how we intended to attack them, even given a glut of opportunity. The play of 1, 6, 7, 9 was perhaps as bad as I've ever seen. I think you must look at it and say it's not acceptable.

i think the tigers are starting to make me depressed i think i need some time away from nrl in general this isnt fun anymore the game is becoming hard to watch with so many send offs
The API sinbinning was a bit rough. He should never have lifted when both his props were holding Collins up. Definite penalty though.
The Doueihi sinbinning is pretty consistent with dangerous contact with the legs in that fashion.
also im looking at the roosters team and they have stars all over the field how does this happen ???
We should learn from them rather than constantly whine about them. Their management are smart.

Lack of speed and lack of height and size is a concern which I’ve stated previously.
But he could very well fill out and end up with a similar physique to what To’o has and considering To’o is not real quick himself.
I would rather a Dominic Young clone, but where do you find one of them ?
I think To’o is pretty fast. He doesn’t get caught short very often.
Both our wingers tonight ran the ball hard. It wasnt their fault we lost.

They had some attacking opportunities early in the game but seemed to be bereft of any ideas or strategy in the opposition 20 … the ball didn’t seem to go the playmakers … and I got no idea why big Sam is putting in attacking grubbers into the back fence …

Sezer was missing… perhaps he was a little intimidated …

The ball shouldn't have gone to Fainu on that play on the last. It was one of many examples of us playing the decoy runner when the ball should have gone out the back. It was so ugly.

Maybe … would have been better to take the tackle and hand it over … he shouldn’t be kicking
