Brandon Smith joked about "brown paper bags" after the game Sunday night. It might not come in brown paper bags, but they are for sure offering extra money/ perks (aside the publicised contract dough) to entice the players they want over to Bondi.

It can't just be that good players are willing to take less to play for the Chooks, they've had their share of lean seasons whilst having a roster of players poached from teams that were at the time performing better.

Tuaki was a beast, I was at that RD 24 match v Parra where he got injured. If he didn't do his ankle and if Bryce Gibbs wasn't sent from the field, WT win that game and who knows probably the comp.
That decision to send off Gibbs was crap, he got marched because of his reputation. No one from any other club would have been marched for that minor infringement.

We bring the key pieces in but have no backup for losing other pieces. It’s like we play a junior or aquire base rather than a balanced view.

That was actually the bulldogs major problem last year. The back up players were guys not willing to do the job. Moved on and replaced with players with mobility, utility and desire.

Feel so bad for both him and Simon Dwyer to suffer those career ending and I understand life changing injuries …Big losses of a couple of the best players to ever pull on the WT jersey and we were robbed of more years of them … Hope they are both going ok these days

Dwyer has some role in the coaching/player welfare staff. He's usually in the coach's box with Benji, Robbie, Johnny Morris & a woman whose identity I don't know. Years ago I heard Tuaki wasn't going so good, I haven't heard anything since.

Someone on this forum should know the answers following:

1: Dwyer's role at the club.

2: Who the woman in the coaches box is.

3: How Tuaki has been going post his career ending injury
