CEO - Shane Richardson

I asked Woofy if he was happy with Richo and he gave me quite the smug look;

As you can see, he’s not ashamed to wear his scarf here in the panther player catchment and he’s quite happy to growl at their “rats with gold teeth” fans during walks.

If the mutt can hang in there, I can too!

I think the release of papa was the wrong move. I see the reason but yet to see a return for his release. Makes me think he underestimated how hard it would be

Well I was so happy when Richo took over , but a trip to England , the release of papa , others wanting to leave and not one decent signing in the forwards , we get over run must weeks can u imagine what will happen if we go into next year with no :
Papa
Bateman ( word is he’s going home )
Stepho
KLEMMER another year older
API another year older ( how much more will he need to do with the above gone )
I hate to say this but Richo starting to sound....., big on words but useless on results, dogs signed two more forwards today , what the hell are we doing , scratching are heads
No cap space apparently

We have an international and a path for young blokes. I’d say they are looking for another first grader in the 300K range for depth.

And my point is to find the replacement player first and then let him go…

It might work out in the end… but at the moment all you are doing is further weakening the worst team in the comp

One thing I just thought about is that it’s probably compounded by the fact he’s out injured for a long spell aswell
I really hope all moves are known by November so any players that are coming can settle in prior to preseason or get a visa sorted if required

They identified we had three starting back rowers and seen an opportunity to create cap space. I trust the guys in charge, Sam Fainu is playing way better than Paps.

Why are you comparing him to Sam Fainu ?

How many games have they BOTH been in the side this year ?

The reality is that this team is weaker for letting him go with no outside replacement on the horizon ..

Personally …I would have kept him one more year … Next year is a pretty pivotal year and Luia can’t do it all on his own ….if they are still at the foot of the table then I suspect Galvin will be following Stef out the door

There’s only two starting second row spots and Paps has wanted to leave from the get go. I agree it would be better if you had a replacement ready to go, maybe they do.

I think we need to give him 12 months as I am confident he will turn us around long term.
I have the word Patience but that is exactly what we need to do and trust the process.

We have a genuine top line 7 next year and will do better even with no more signings. Look at broncos they have a top line squad and Reynolds goes down and they struggle.

So who is the other one ?

Amazing that Paps is so shyte yet the three time defending premiers picked him up in a nanosecond with origin backrowers Martin and Yeo already at the club

He is a good player (who wanted out) but we signed Bateman long term and he tries his guts out (cue the armchair critics).

Benji is trying to create a culture which includes selecting players based on effort, hence Naden is gone this week.

Not sure why Naden is relevant to this discussion? Ivan Cleary actually palmed him off over to us…not the reverse like what happened with Paps..

You can have your opinion about “trusting the management “ and I’ll have mine … I’ve respected Richo’s resume but that doesn’t mean he is automatically going to have the same success here

I need to see him do something … it’s been very quiet since Turuva and this team needs a lot of overhaul …and not much seems to be happening in comparison to some of their competitors

We can all get rid of players…particularly the top half dozen that are actually attractive to other clubs …but signing competent replacements and improving the squad and ultimately winning more games is much more difficult…
