I think when you wrote delusions it was a typo for *truthful.
You don't know anyone on this forum or the extent and lonegvity of their support and investment in the club - but claim to be "the biggest tigers supporter on this forum by some distance"

What an immature and outright DELUSIONAL comment!

You have only been a member of this forum for less than 2 years... which undoubedly is due to both your age and short history as a Tigers supporter..

Have you ever even been a season ticket-holder?

Keep dreaming about coaching Lebanon - I'm sure you're very busing with all the forum DMs seeking coaching tips!! PMSL!!

My point exactly..

“Believed to be around $1 million per season”, said this masthead
Yep $ 1 mill per year so over 5 years like our offer it’s $ 1 mill extra , put up with Ricky, put up with the cold , and being in a team that does go ok , better than us over the years , hmmm. What do you do , I stay in Sydney , take the $ 4 mill and go with the Luai factor , he is going to help this team so much , even if it’s Luai / Sezer - Luai / Galvin we will be much stronger , he needs to stay In My opinion , and enjoy the run we will go on , I think Stef will be outstanding off Luai and if we add another tuff prop we will go very well , time to sign big fella

My own guess is Stefano is not really going to get offers much better than from Tigers, so he'll either have to go to another similar club with middling potential, or take a really decent pay cut to play for someone like Storm.

NFW Storm are paying a million to sign Stefano, that's never been their MO esp. for forwards.

Our strategy can't be to retain our current woefully outmatched forward pack with extra dollars thrown at everyone willing to stick around. We're last, our players aren't that good! Stefano knew he was testing market last week, was up against a quality opposition and was perfect occasion to sell himself. Surely that would motivate him? But no, another disappearing act. I just don't think he's that motivated or interested in playing. He has no fire.

I reckon stef isn’t playing 100% because mentally he wants to be winning hence going to the open market but his heart is here. With the current situation, I reckon he stays and he’ll hopefully play with a clear mind. That being said, he can’t do everything. Imagine how dangerous stef would be with 2 more BIG hard running props. That’s what we should be getting for next year.

Yea, that would be interesting.

I can see Stef signing for 1m to Canberra. but hating the next 5 years. Ricky would work him HARD.

.. We need Stef because we need some punch in the line. With Stef + Klemmer we at least have 'something' to offer forwards who come here. You don't want to be in a team where you do all the bashing.

I would hate to get Luai but have to play him with the kind of Forward pack we had in 2022 for example.

In this situation we need to ask our self’s

If stefano goes to Melbourne will he become the player we know he can be
Answer: yes

If stefano goes to Melbourne will he play state of origin within 2 years
Answer: yes

We need to look into why he hasn’t for filled his potential here yet And why it hasn’t happend yet this is a tigers problem not a stefano problem

I hope he stays it’s going to happen for him he’s still very young if he leaves we will all regret it

You answered your two questions as if the outcome is fact. The only fact is that we don't know the answer to your questions. It's your opinion that he would realise his potential at Melbourne and play Origin within 2 years. It's not an unreasonable opinion at all, I would lean towards agreeing with you more so then not, however in the case of a front rower, I blame Stef more then the club. A front rowers job is the same every week, it's simply a choice the player makes about the desired effort he wants to put into his game. Stef has proven that this year actually. He has had some incredible games because he chose to put maximum effort in. Other games have been average, that was his choice.

Your point IMO is valid in terms of other positions, but I don't agree with it being a Melbourne or Wests Tigers thing when it comes to front rowers, that's on the player and his own character, or lack of character.

Yeah fair point but we need to ask our self’s how will Melbourne make sure he puts that amount of effort in every week and how come we cannot get that out of him is it cause ove the past 3 seasons our season has been done after 5 games pretty much. id say that would take a huge tole on a young man playing in the front row

The offers seem to be drying up, probably been paying attention to his form.

💯 mate.
I think this is what’s getting lost in the criticism of Stef. When he’s on , you can see what the fuss is about . And whether it’s coincidence or not ( I personally don’t think it’s coincidence at all) , he doesn’t turn up against top tier opposition. Actually I’ll still down further , he doesn’t turn up against packs that are known to bully you like the roosters , Brisbane etc . And that’s a huge problem for someone asking for the very top of thier positions market value .
If the guy that turned up against the raiders turned up 75% of the time , I don’t think anyone would have any issues with the money he wants . But it’s more like 60% , with that last 40% against teams who obviously play with an aggressive style .

Being a member of this forum for only two years doesnt disqualify me from being the greatest tigers supporter on the forum, because I wasnt online, i was out supporting at games, training etc.
And I get PM's for coaching tips all the time, about 4 a week.
I maintain I am the greatest tigers supporter here by some distance.
