Which team will get the 18th Franchise

You don't get it.

Justin will have his entire family over there. Also:
Justin's 400k here is closer to 1M over there.
Living is like $50 aud a week while living in SYD is $500 min.

Justin will only stay here if he likes Syd and if he wants to avoid One Tok's asking him for money every 10 minutes. ... In PNG he could buy a business and live like a king on what he has.
1. Justin would jump at the chance to relocate his family to oz, it is safer for them and there are more opportunities. noriak of being eaten in Oz! by a human anyway.
2. Somewhat yeah, real estate will be cheaper there for sure but Iphones, malt liquor and crisps will still be the same.
3.Yeah but they might not be in Syd, but even if they are, the reason is everyone wants to live in sydney which shows you something.
4. It isnt just Justin, but others will use their NRL careers as escapes. We even sometimes see Englanders using the NRL as an escape! People in these countries will chew their left leg off to get into the first world countries usually.

I'm not sure Basball is a major sport in Australia but, yes, Perth has a team in the Aussie baseball comp.
But a competition as big as the NRL couldn't manage it apparently.
Wasn’t that tried once before ? The Western Reds in mid to late 90s I think.
Something happened, maybe Super League but it never really took off. Perhaps the NRL a still a bit gun shy about there and Adelaide.

Super league killed them off. Crowds for the Reds were a better than some Sydney club's at the time

PNG has many logistical problems and security might be an issue as well
Why have a Perth team in an AFL state their heart is not with NRL and more than twice the flying time as NZ
Logic says the Central Coast is the one . More than half a million people who love Rugby League and a clearly defined footprint basically from Umina to Budgewoi about 70 km
Stadium already there .Major clubs like The Entrance Tigers and the Wyong Roos
Central Coast Leagues another big club right next door to Central Coast Stadium
Its all there huge resources huge player feed stream. Its got far more people and resources than Redcliffe .
Its soccer team is a super success as would its League side
Time for Logic !
W.A has a good Nrl following. Every State of origin it is packed at the pubs plus they have a decent junior comp and multiple senior teams. Lot of Maoiri and islanders over here too who love league.

If Perth had a team there would be a good following for sure. All you do is play 2 away games in a row then return for two home games.

Maybe .....

North Sydney and Western Australia’s rugby league bid are inching closer to an agreement following the latest round of negotiations

Not PNG. Australia have had talks with China and China promised not to harbour their artillery there for the time being. Also they make cut backs i.e. danger money for the players

I like that the Bears might possibly be brought back into the comp, but they should be Central Coast based. All the support for them is here, it is north of Sydney. Heck I would probably support them, I’m so disenfranchised from the Tigers and Sydney these days, this is my home now. I know it goes against their policies for expansion into other states, but are the people of WA really interested in rugby league? I think it will flop like the Western Reds did.

There's a good following here. 4000 juniors. I'm not sure how the bears will be received though, it hasn't got me enthused.

The Western Reds had crowds bigger than half the Sydney clubs. They were a superleague casualty.

Balmain boy from the start but always had a soft spot for the Shoremen as a kid and the Reds when they came along in 95. Sounds like a perfect marriage of a second team to cheer for when the Tigers drop their game each week.

The most deserving for the 18th Franchise is the Central Coast with its 500,000 + pop of Rugby League mad fans. Just logical !
