I think there were a couple of others as well, when AD didn’t score in the corner in the first half, and when Papy made that one on one tackle on our winger when he looked a big chance to score.

Our outside men turn full chances into nothing. Other teams flank men turn half chances into tries.
Another good example of our deficient wing play, (we are equally deficient in a number of positions not just wingers). I would say most teams wingers score that try over Papy.

Have to agree TSJ, the Māori sidestep doesn’t work when you’re a little guy. Even though Papy not a giant either but a sidestep, in and away or anything but going straight at him might have worked.

Same with Staines poor little grubber on HT, you have to take Paps on, he’s tough but he’s a weed.

He’s now done that a few times this year. No doubt he’s never recovered full confidence from that injury.

That’s a mental thing for sure. It happens in an instant, his subconscious is telling him he can’t break a tackle.
Bush league psychology but that’s my tip 😂
Or at least kick it to where we'll have a chance to get to it....

I’m never a fan of that kick unless it’s last tackle. Play the percentages, if you get tackled and they hold you down, potentially a sin bin. If you get a quick PTB and the halves play their cards right you shift it and score in the opposite corner.
That’s if you don’t beat the cover defense at high speed and score.
But that’s the low IQ stuff we all know too well as WT fans.

Agree...changed the whole complexion of the game.
I agree it could have potentially swung the game in our favour, but what other player in our team other than Doueihi even makes that line break ?
When criticising him we need to understand he’s the one that created the opportunity in the first place.

I was in bay 24 and Galvin also put a kick in that would have reached the Barnes stand if left to run,poor kick and momentum killer amongst a few that should have produced points
That’s the issue with Galvin playing 5/8.
He was never his teams dominant general play kicker even when dominating the junior scene, so it’s going to take a lot of hard work to get his kicking game up to scratch.
It’s a similar situation with Latu Fainu.
They both need to understand and understand fast that a good quality kicking game is crucial to being a long term NRL quality halfback or 5/8.
If they are serious about it they should be having a very minimal off season break and putting plenty of hours into improving their kicking games long and short.
I did notice him. Overall watching him run is like watching someone running at 75%. I get most runs are 85-90 and not 100% but he just seems mentally to be not ‘in it’

It’s well known Richo is a tough taskmaster.
But he can’t build Rome in a day.
We are still trying to dismantle the giant titanium fedora statue in front of LO.
Chipping away at years of catastrophic apocalyptic management takes time.
HB will only give Benji so long to get his act together. They moved at a glacial pace to sack the board, now I think they want results.
