No i don't think he had a great game today. But I expect some drop in play from youngsters. That's reasonable. I'm ruthless on senior guys. You for some reason have targeted a young kid quite obsessively. Very low character, but that's your choice. I'll give kids a break while you attack them. Toa is better than Doueihi and Naden is better than Faataape. Doueihi can play wing instead of Laulii.
TDS stays until Api returns. Then shares duties 60/40.
Latu stays until Sezer returns and then he pushes Galvin out of 5/8.
Galvin can be trialled in the centres…either of them.
For the forwards, Klemmer drops to bench for Twal.
Papa returns and pushes Sam F to bench.

T’oa has only played 30 mins since being back, but agree - if he gets through this week, should be back in FG next week. No way Naden should play first grade again, this team needs less stupid not more.
Your crusade against Galvin being a half is getting a little tired and keeping Bateman starting while benching Sam F is laughable.

You cannot afford to have a fullback in the NRL who craps his pants and expect to win games, full stop.
Staines at fullback would make us a much better team.

Actually made a couple of real good runs today. Edge back rowers who are effective ball runners are unlikely to be required to be topping the tackle count. Very few if any can do both

The reason our backrow doesn’t make breaks like the better teams , we don’t bend the defence in the middle thus the outside backs don’t have to be pulled in , watch the better teams then compare our team

Papa was one of the best line breakers before he came here , I can’t recall him making many break either, reason is our playmakers don’t put them in holes , and our props don’t bend the line to drag other team’s defences in , to open gaps out wide

I don’t think he “threw” them in the air… the force of the tackle did it. Which is why I think it’s a ridiculous rule.

You could be right about that, but I still don’t think we are getting value for money out of what we are supposedly paying Bateman.
I don’t doubt his effort, just not sure his impact is worthy of his contract value.

Too many kids, surrounded by reserve graders who never should be in first grade consistently, surrounded by experienced first graders who are just not living up to their end of the bargain and leading the way.

We must have the dumbest forwards in the game. Three of them on Koloamataungi being carried along 10 metres, it didn't register on one of them to drop to the legs and bring him down. So bloody frustrating, every week.

Doueihi at least wants the ball and generally beats a tackle or a few tackles every time he touches the ball.
Compare that to our fullback who blatantly doesn’t want the ball and is not capable of breaking a tackle.

I think papa has been missing since the kids have had a licence to go… but he is going now, the year is lost so I don’t really see a point… give the other kids a run, they will be better for it.

For 650k a season, Bateman provides ill- discipline in spades, no attacking threat and passable defence. While he tries hard, the game has passed him by and it's sad to watch.

Naden is better than what’s there. Despite his brain snaps.
Galvin is not an NRL quality half. He touches the ball way too much for what he actually accomplishes with it. He almost touched the ball more times than our dummy half today and almost more than Sezer and Bula combined. If you are going to be that highly involved, you have to do something with it. I’d much prefer 20 less touches but some clutch plays resulting from them.
I agree Bateman is a dope, but his defence is hardworking. He is having a go. Sams effectiveness was at its height when coming off the bench just like Seyfarth.
