It seems to me when they still. Have Benjis words fresh in the minds beginning each half they're at their worst... 20 mins or so they start to just ad lib it and play what they see... It's messy and risky but it shows what tent is there with the right mentor who, can balance that half structured half eyes up footy when it's on (not tackle 1 or 2 after we've scored in our own 20)

He has a window to get some real help and not buddies/saftey net support on his staff.

I do think Benji is having a real dig at coaching but also think his ego lead him to think results would happen alot easier than they did.

Might be something to it, I found it really strange the way he was side eyeing Douhi while he was talking in the presser, don't know why it stood out to me just looked like he wasn't too impressed with him.

I think the biggest question is WHO THE HELL is the defence coach, they should be sacked immediately.
1) we don’t show any speed in defence, getting if the line
2) we don’t rapt up the ball carrier , yesterday we had 3 players holding a player up , not once but 3-4 times and they unloaded I think they scored of 2 if them

Get someone in who can fix these problems

He's not going to make it as a coach at this rate. He is not able to manage substitutions properly and this is not a problem you often hear about at this level.

End of the day, not many coaches would have salvaged anything from this year. He is a flyer, like Trent Barret was at the Dogs. He'll take the bullets while the club starts to put itself in a better position and be let go when Richo identifies a better coach.
 
They show glimpses but youth will be consistently inconsistent and our senior players are mostly well past their best. Few teams have put 28 on Melbourne we certainly troubled them more than than the star studded Roosters - acknowledged by Bellamy - and there has not been a game in recent times where we have not been impacted by having to defend errors with 12 men.

According to you, give the poor bastard a break. Give him till the end of next season. Jesus wouldn't save the current crew from getting the spoon.
 
Wishful thinking regarding Benji’s comment on the senior players I think. Sounded like more of a throwaway comment around leadership, bringing the young guys along etc. But maybe it is something he will address. We can only hope.

I like that he took ownership of their performance as a coach, but he seemed a little too unbothered about that performance. Apart from some nice periods in attack, our defence was diabolical, an issue that has plagued this club for too long. The Rabbitohs didn’t throw a lot at us and were able to rack up 40.

From the outside looking in, there still doesn’t appear to be enough focus on defence, even after all this time. A lot of that is attitude and effort, but for some odd reason they seem to think they’re sweet in that department. There are a lot of individual players that seem happy enough with their efforts, but clearly they shouldn’t be.

Thought we had some good moments in attack but whenever the opposition got in our red zone it was just a formality that they would score, add to that the stupid errors and lack of ball security, we just gifted a shit side 2 competition points.

Don't even get me started on Sezer, is he stupid or just accident prone? If he gets suspended again I would say that he he'd be lucky to have played much more than half a season for us and when he has he's only made a worthwhile contribution every third game. 😡
 
We have no coach. Even worst than that, we have no assistants either. John Morris is so overhyped. Sure, he might have gotten the Sharks to the finals, but we’re several rungs below even that. It’s a total disgrace that Sheens and the old guard allowed this to happen, but it also doesn’t do any good for Richo, every day he allows this to go on. Benji is not a coach. He did great in the off season, and was one of the main reasons we got Luai, be-cards he has charisma coming out of his eyeballs. He can talk the talk and sell ice to an Eskimo. But, and I said this several times over the summer, the true test for him was going to be when the season kicked off. And unfortunately, the emperor does have no clothes.

But what’s the future hold , we are getting a 1/2 back and a winger , think that will improve this team , NOT a hope in hell .
Need 3-4 forwards a GOOD winger and a centre, that’s the only way this team improves. BUT , Richo and benji only want to go with kids , they most be related to BOWEN , stick ur head in the sand and hope
